Thanks OP although I will mention this isn't the bright (miniLED) one, that would be the C835K

In depth pq review here for that model:
'On a 10% window it achieves 1,313 nits (against just under 1,000 nits on the C825) and on a completely white screen it achieves 638 nits (540 nits on the C825). It is striking that on a 25% window it even goes up to almost 1,600 nits.

The color range of the quantum dots is equally impressive. The C835 achieves 93% P3 and 70% REc.2020. This equals the performance of an OLED, but combines it with a lot more brightness. Colors and light are therefore the strong side of this device, the images have an enormous intensity.'

However the OP (C735K) is still a great TV if it's just improving last year's C725K:

Interesting to see the DSE is quite minimal (fireworks image) - on par with the Sony X90J?
Only 350 nits on this so not bright enough for my south facing room! C835K it is

I thought they were the same this year?
I remember it being an issue for the C825/C826 last year though, yes.

Perhaps best to check with TCL or Sonic Direct if you were keen enough

Is there much difference between this one and the TCL 55C826K pls?

'compared to 2021’s C825, this year’s C835 boasts an increased brightness of 1500 nits (compared to 1000), the upgraded 7000:1 contrast ratio (from 5000:1) up to 288 dimming zones (from 160), the improved 12-bit Direct Drive system, a new maximum dynamic range of 23 (from 19) and the extended Ultra Wide viewing angle. The C835 (along with the C935 and C735) also benefits from the TCL advancement in processing leading to a new Deep Learning system, for even better AI support from the likes of its Ai PQ2.0 quad core processor.'

At a quick glance it looks almost the same as the 2 I have with the stand shaped like that but the stand on mine is a little wider. They were pushed as top spec for gaming etc and they are cracking telly's for the price.I have bought a few other TVs for other houses to give them a try and they have all been sent back .

    This one or Philips 50" PUS8807 (also 8897) ?

I don't own either but what I've seen from reviews and comments: I think this would be superior in panel uniformity (DSE), possibly sound too although the Philips may have the edge in motion handling (they have some good picture processing with the P5 engine).

I don't have a firm opinion on picture quality between the two other than knowing that the TCL is great (check links above) (edited)
