The rating doesn't match what they're saying, it says Dustproof but the X means not tested against dust. And they claim 30m waterproof submersion but that's not how the waterproofing is tested either.

Also they're £5.94 half the time...

don't, I repeat don't jump in the water with these on. The water drowns your phone. Keep it floating on the top and you will be ok.

    Okay, I repeat okay.

You can pop chicken in these and bash it for extra tenderness

I have similar and whilst they keep the phone dry, they do not make the screen usable under water as when the water touches the screen covered area it senses a touch.

no one said it's for use underwater

    £6.99 for me...Thanks.

Paid 20 quid for something like this from Decathlon. They are useless. As soon as you're in the water, your screen will register random touches. If you're already recording when you go in, the touches make it focus randomly and even stop recording.

Yeah, they're obviously not designed for actually using your phone underwater, but just to keep it safe. You can buy more expensive hard shell solutions for underwater usage.

Have you received them yet as they usually take weeks/months to deliver, and the quality of a lot of their stuff is shocking? There's a reason they're cheap! (edited)

These are one of those things you always see available. But when you really need them they are soo expensive. Purchased it. Thanks op

Think they do these where you can take all air out so you don't get misting in the bag.

    What the hell is ixp8,

Better just buy a Samsung or apple and get full waterproofing in the water also,

The ratings are easy to interpret. Where water depth is above 1m it's actually about water pressure rather than water ingress by that point.

However if the brand isn't known and reliable you should be dubious of claims beyond the specification. It's a point of awkwardness that the specifications aren't concrete beyond 1m.

If you buy the black one and not the orange then you will only pay £5.99 with the £3 discount.
