Would also like to know if this is also on Xbox/GPU. Last time I got into TSW everyone was saying the DLC was an absolute rip-off, like to buy it all would cost a few grand or summat.

TSW3 is on the Xbox platform and the base game is on Game Pass and can be played on Xbox/PC and streaming but the DLC isn't cross compatible so buying for the Steam platform won't give you access to it on the Xbox platform.

The people claiming the DLC is a rip-off because it costs thousands do not understand how the platform works. The current total DLC cost for Train Sim World 3 is just over £1,500 but it's more like a library of locomotives and routes so you choose which you want and as they cover different countries round the world, most people are not going to be bothered about buying a large number of routes and locos. I'm mostly only interested in the UK locos and routes, a route is around £20 - £30 which will add one or two locos which I think is reasonable when you look how much you'll pay these days for an emote or other cosmetics in other games. There's often discounts as well plus there's no 'need' for DLC to keep playing, the DLCs are mostly separate to each other.

If I pay for the 16-item bundle now, how long do I have to download it all, seeing as my current laptop is'nt really specced high enough for gaming?

You should get a key for each dlc - you choose which key to add to your Steam library & they will download.

If your laptop isnt gaming spec (in other words it doenst have a dedicated gpu) then its not going to be an enjoyable experince tbh.

Edit - you generlly have long as you like to activate the keys - ive had some from like 2015 that i have activated recently (edited)

Excellent deal considering it's the pee-taking DLC rip-off monster that is Dovetail. Be prepared to pay £30 each if any of the newer routes take your fancy... (edited)
