This or Samsung for £15 more?

Which samsung are you looking at? Most sata ssds will saturate the interface so speed is generally irrelevant unless there's some caching issue which stalls extended writes.

Then you're comparing the warranty, TBW spec and other longevity stuff.

Warranty I heard with Transcend isn't brilliant, with some saying you need to send the item back to Taiwan. Basically it's a rebranded Crucial MX 500. I go for the Samsung personally. (edited)

Looks like the spec has much better endurance than the MX500 though, as it says 2440TBW vs the MX500 4TB stated 1000TBW?

The Samsung I’ve mentioned is on Amazon.
I’ve just gone for this based on the 5 years warranty so fingers crossed

A 5 year warranty isn't all that valuable when this drive will be approaching worthlessness in a few years time.

I don’t understands. Can you explain what you mean?

Quality shouldn't be an issue on what is now a VERY basic flash product, with years of testing to bed the tech in. The real issue is a bad price per TB, especially given even the best SSD is trash compared to a basic NVMe.

But the larger capacity devices are currently getting a premium for obvious reasons.

That's only true if your transferring large files other than that an SSD is just as fast

Personally I rather pay the extra £34 and get the Samsung EVO 4tb
