Had this charger for a few months now. Charges my laptop at 100w.

Biggest annoyance for me (more to do with my watch). My watch charger in port C3 draws less than 1w even when not connected. But this causes C1 and C2 to only negotiate 65w. So I have to unplug the other cable to get 100w or my laptop won't charge at all.

Seems to be the same one Scan was selling recently with a cable included for the same price, deal thread hotukdeals.com/dea…397

Works well. Doesn't get hot. Bulky and heavy for travelling though, and it's weight can cause it to sag on certain sockets.

Does anyone know if any of the GaN charger won't renegotiate the charging ( charging disruption) when adding or removing a device? I want one of those...

    Unfortunately it does

Does this support samsung fast charging?
    dynamac's avatar
But it won't support the super fast charging 2.0 protocol (45w). That requires 3.3-11v/5A which this doesn't have. (edited)

Had to laugh. The instructions are quite clear that the C3 and A ports are additional, lower power, ports - and the main ports are the top two. Yet the photo shows the laptop plugged into the C3 port. I'd even suggest taping over the C3 port, so that you wouldn't use it, especially in combination with the A (bottom) port.

"The combination of C3 and A is not recommended because the power output would be minimal in this case."

Otherwise, looks a great buy. Gallium Arsenide Nitride generates more noise but has a lower on resistance - the biggest generator of waste heat in a charger. So makes this unit great for use as a charger but possibly not for powering audio equipment or a pocket scope.

Heat added - I don't actually need one at the moment and the will power fairy keeps on waving its flipping wand at me. Or I would be buying one.

My laptop charges in C3. Just not very quickly haha

This only charges my Mac book pro only at 60w for some reason

This or the more expensive anker 100w with foldable pins?
    Eeyore_m's avatar
Amazon reviews on the foldable not great - apparently it buzzes.

I have one of these. Very pleased and this is a good price. Make sure your cables can take the rate of charge. Ideal for a phone with adaptive charging.

Outstanding charger, I have 2 and find them great for charging phones, smart watch, tablet, etc... all at the same time.

However, quite heavy and not really any good for travel, so they are best suited to where you need a permanent charger location.

These are great until they break. Just about to send one of mine back.

Same issue. My 65W model randomly stopped working the other day after only 9 months. UGreen are sending me a new one but not exactly holding out much hope it will last either.
