Would it be fine if either would be not powered for a year?

For longer term data storage would this be better than their 1TB 570 NVME? Do SSD's and NVME's need to be powered on every few months not to loose data?

no, they don't lose data when powered off for months, usb sticks, memory cards etc hold their data when not plugged in for long periods of time.

nvme is faster than ssd, but their blue range is more about performance than the green range which is more "eco friendly", but if your machine can't take an nvme that's irrelevant anyway!

Nit mentions data in the heading!? The alternative which this isn’t would be NVMe!

So SATA is the same as SATA III?
