sorted byI've found the ones who slate these are either cod fanboys or they haven't spent any significant time using one.
I would rather have zombiu than cod 84 or fifa 14
I would possibly be interested at a lower price later down the line. I've been put off from even the PS4 and Xbone this year as not impressed overall. The Nintendo consoles are different and of course have some good exclusives - but gimmicks and uniqueness do not mean it's what the majority want from their main gaming machine. I only want one per generation and the best hardware and biggest game selection usually wins.
I've decided to upgrade my PC instead and will buy one of the consoles later once they drop in price...
I replied to you simply because I disagree that only cod fanbois dislike the Wii U - that's a fanboi statement in itself.

Totally get where your coming from here, not 100% certain I'd take a Wii U if I was only going to allow myself one console per generation, and a PC upgrade is always good! ....but would definitely encourage anyone thinking similarly to have a play with the console for a while if you can.
I bought one from HMV a while back for £200 with a couple of games - I was thinking I'd have a go on it and then resell it for the same price. After I'd used it for a few days, I couldn't do anything other than keep it. I personally really like the ergonomics of the controller, and I find it annoying to go back to anything that isn't native 1080p/60fps now (although obv everything next gen will manage that), but the real clincher (for me) was how brilliant it was in terms of couch co-op.
Imo, it's the first console in a really long time that actually maintains relevance next to a decent gaming PC, and not just because of the exclusives. It's also the differentiation in the ways it lets you play (asymmetric multi-player in particular but also the occasional interesting aspects of single player that sometimes rise beyond gimmicks).

Posted the exact same thing in the Ferrari 365 thread. Sub £100 and I'm in. Will be a really good deal. Hope I don't have to wait too long.
And I'll only buy a Blu Ray player once it hits £5, by that time there'll be loads of great movies which will make the £5 instantly worth it
Shame, that Basic deal was cracking!
In spain though it was 159 euros for basic, or 199 euros for premium
Page not found, however the same bundle for £269 shows
Picked up a Premium with Mario/Nintendoland and Rabids for €200 second hand, perfectly boxed and not a mark on it.

This is a terrific deal, apart from the link on the John Lewis website isn't working at the moment. Definitely worth giving them a call though, they should allow phone orders.

Did you telephone about premium or basic?

Basic

I called up a local store and they said they only had it in 1 store?
Yeah but they're dropping it £50 but its currently £270 on amazon for a premium
PS Plus has too much for me to play through at the moment so I'm going to pass but a great price!
was $50, and that was US - nothing to say same date/amount for EU, kinda expect retailers forced a dropped price a while back though this might be other retailers now getting the deal. the trade price was £246 or so for premium when it was just out the door last nov, like 210 for basic
That deal at John Lewis looks cracking and im seriously considering getting the kids one for Christmas for their bedroom!!!
*already have a deluxe that is played daily
is the john lewis price not available?
I'd rather have CoD 84 than Cricket Bat- The Game.
By that time, there will be loads of great games which will make the £100 seem instantly worth it.
