It’s on the disc. This is amazing price, such a good game! It got me through lockdown!

I've posted this a few times, but to the guys who are struggling to get into it - I had exactly the same experience with it when it first came out. The story didn't grip me, couldn't stand the combat and all the oils, potions, spells, armour, weapons upgrading/building just seemed like a bunch of micromanagement faff. By this point I'd put 30 hours into it and couldn't see it getting any better. So I shelved it for six months.

Then I got talking to a mate a work and he gave me the best bit of advice: "Ignore all the spells, upgrades, potions etc. Turn the difficulty down, equip the best armour and weapon you have at the time and just do quests."

That bit of advice transformed it for me - it's now easily in my top 10 games of all time. Just gradually bring yourself into the micromanagement stuff - oils are the best place to start as they give you little buffs in combat. For the combat, learn how to parry rather than button mash - it's a big game changer. Eventually you'll start looking at spells, upgrading weapons etc - you just don't need to do it all at the start - it's such a long game that you can do it gradually.

I had the same problem with this and yet, like you, loved fallout and Skyrim. I also quickly lost interest in MGS5 but played (too much) the first four and thought they were great

First time I played it I didn't get it. Then I tried again a few years later and loved it. It's very cool.

Haha, that seems like a good excuse, but my understanding is that this can still be enjoyed without the first two. There will be returning characters, so those familiar with the first two might enjoy this even more!

I couldn't get into this game. Love fallout, Skyrim, shadow of mordor & horizon zero dawn (which I'd imagine are somewhat comparable). I think I need to retry, as I have had funny looks when I have said this to gamers & reviews are standout..... (edited)

Great price for a lot of quality gaming. I got this for £17 about 4 years ago and have been playing it on and off so haven't completed it yet. I always have to remind myself how it works each time I play. It is a very good story and I love the regional accents for the characters.
