About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
Not a bad price for the 1TB console and two brilliant games.
I'm sure Gears of War 4 will be a digital download and should include the first 4 games as digital downloads as well, Forza Horizon 3 will be a disc version.
OR
You can choose a White Controller instead of Forza Horizon 3 for £334.98.
Also for anyone interested in the Xbox One S 2TB Gears of War 4 Limited Edition Bundle you can get it from Argos with Forza Horizon 3 for £419.99, Game stores sold out all pre-orders of the console but you can walk into Argos and buy today with collection.

sorted byYes its a digital download which is play anywhere
I used to have a 2TB external plugged into my old black console but the thing would never power down or go into sleep with the console. Not a massive problem for most but for me where the console was in my bedroom it was getting rather annoying during the night. I know I could just unplug it but kind of defeats the object of me going totally digital on the games if I have to get up and plug the hard drive in lol.
I ended up going for the Gears Limited 2TB, very expensive I know but I just love the design and that's coming from someone who has never owned any limited or special editions before. I've never even owned a different coloured controller!

It has now but had to refresh page
Ive got the Actual gears console & yes it is also for windows 10 ... As you get the Ultimate edition with the Gears Console
Not sure on what to recommend if I'm honest, I would just go for a good brand that will last. I would search on this site and read all the comments before buying one! Remember you can also use a larger size plug in hard drive if you want something bigger!
This deal is also half decent without forza for the added 30 quid if you weren't fussed.
My external 2tb drive doesn't do that, so it must depend on the model.
Personal preference really. Forza Horizon and Gears are great exclusives, PS4 has better exclusives imo but it's really up to you. If 4K video and HDR gaming is worthwhile to you, go for it. If no there isn't any major differences
Watch out for some WD drivers. They state 6Gb/s (this for when it's internally connected to a SATA 6Gb/s port). When you attach the WD drives to a external USB 3.0 the Buffer To Host Is 3Gb/s (Max).
I done a test with;
Seagate ST2000LM007
WD10JPVX
Both using this enclosure;
amazon.co.uk/Ori…ure
The Seagate is far faster at moving games from internal to external (same games I tried). I have Xbox One S 500GB
Will it not let you do fast-track so you can pay now, collect the console now and Forza when in stock?
This "Gears 1TB Bundle" includes the Standard Edition
The "Gears 2TB Limited edition" includes the Ultimate Edition

I can imagine that is slightly annoying but luckily my consoles not in the same room I sleep in so i'm leaning towards getting an external 2TB drive to plug in, could you recommend any decent ones?
Yes sure is! I would rather walk in Argos and pick up now if I needed one. Although I think Shopto use next day delivery which is good, not sure on there returns policy if you get a "clicker" but Argos have been excellent for me over the last few years.

Kind of agree that I feel safer buying from instore, and if its a physical copy of forza or even digital im sure people will be able to sell it on easy enough
I agree there will be better deals on Black Friday, as long as they are not limited or you have to stand outside at midnight lol
Unless they have updated the software on the console since I used mine. I have searched the Internet and can only find people complaining of the same issue.
What are the models that have this issue?
I don't know, I just know mine used to stay awake, you could hear the disc spinning in both modes, power saving and instant on.
Wasn't there an option in settings to turn off external storage when the console wasn't using it? Usually turn off my console at the wall but I'm pretty sure there is this option somewhere
But i do have a serious question of opinion and thought.
This is what i'm thinking... Wouldn't it be better to buy the ps4 pro now and wait next year to buy the xbox scorpio, to play the games released with better quality hertz and graphics etc.
Not interested in the extra £50-£100 if any console is more expensive. And i can wait to play Gears of War 4 for example for the peroid of time till scorpio is released. As i will have the ps4 pro with superior graphics quality - and later get the best initial experience with my xbox scorpio.
Waiting for Scorpio won't make much if any difference to how these current-gen games will play. Exclusive games like these are tailored specifically for the hardware that the Xbox One/PS4 offers right now. The new Scorpio console may offer better hardware specs, but it's unlikely to offer additional performance or improve upon graphics. For example, with backwards compatibility now possible on XB1, there is little to no performance boosts for a x360 game like Red Dead Redemption.
That said, they could release an update/patch. With PS4, the majority of games will run exactly the same with the Pro vs the original. It is down to the developers themselves to release a patch to improve performance for the different console versions - I don't see why this could be any different to the next Xbox. Also, Definitive editions of games seem to be the thing at the moment and now that Xbox games are including releases for PC, it's definitely a possibility. If you want to see an improvement in graphics or performance on a game like Gears 4 & Forza Horizon, you're probably better off purchasing it on PC.
Just wanted to point out - Some backwards compatible games do get improvements. Digital Foundry's channel has a number of videos that show how the recent BC Xbox 360 games have been getting a boost, i.e. Vsync (to remove tearing), higher fps, etc. So, it's entirely possible that there could be potential improvements to BC Xbox One games, purely through playing on a higher-end Xbox. Time will tell on that one. It's not guaranteed to be that way, but wwith what's been seen through the BC programme, it's certainly a real possibility.
As for Hugo's question, if resolution is important to you, get the PS4. If not, get either console. Heck, get both!
Go down the page to special offers and add Forza making it £319
The external drives are in a way pointless. If you like me power off the xbox one and switch off the plug on the the wall. When you power on the Xbox One console (with external hard drive attached via USB) it doesn't detect it lol. So basically it has to be connected after start up of console lol. Pointless.
If you leave the console on instant on mode it's fine. As the hard drive works. Same goes for if you power down the console and leave the external hard drive connected and the main plug switch on at the wall.
Why couldn't Microsoft just allow us to upgrade the internal hard drive like Sony does. Why take away something that was there before with the Xbox 360?

Someone got it and didn't say. Boo to them!
You would have thought they would thank the kind person donating the code. Ingrates.
