    I played this originally on the Gamecube and it was wonderful - and that's coming from someone who doesn't enjoy shoot-em-ups.

    Got stuck on a bit of Abe's odyssey when I was 6 or 7. Came back to it after 6 years, and beat it first time. Could give it another go now ur a bit older.

    I prefer radiant silvergun but this is nothing less than exceptional
    the japanese bullet hells of the era were all genius

    There's a Japanese DVD called Ikaruga Appreciate which shows the best players absolutely destroying this difficult game. It's humbling to see one person completing Ikaruga in 2-player mode with one hand per player, or someone getting full chains for all the levels.

    Awesome game. Well worth picking up if you don't own it already!

    It's a shame the XBox One fell out of favour with the Japanese developers, the 360 was great for bullet hell shmups. I think we had nearly all of the best Cave and Treasure titles on there ❤️
