I have a NUS card but no ac.uk email address. As long as your place of education is on their system, it should work. If it isn't then you can apply for it by emailing them.

I know, my wife is a student but I am trying to get one for myself. Group on sell courses like "children's book writing" which come with .ac.uk email accounts. I was just hoping there were free courses somewhere.
I'm just looking at TEFL language courses on Groupon. Does anyone know if they give .ac.uk email?
You don't need a ac.uk email to signup for NUS

No one will give you an ac.uk email for online courses. You could do an OU course but it's not worth it to try & save money
Just register with the Shaw academy in a free course and you will be able to get an nus card, just did it myself

Theres no need to buy a course, done it for free using the Shaw academy a few weeks back, and they didnt check, so you can literally make up a course and get one for free, without a .ac.uk email address
Sorry for bumping another old thread, but I was wondering if anyone has found a way around how NUS (or now, Totum) have blocked renewals and new applications for online courses from ecrears etc? I went to renew mine again but this time, nothing
I’m also looking for any way to get a ac uk address due to Spotify’s new renewal rule!

Select the dropdown text string of provider "learndirect" on the Totum sign up page. No need to be a student. Never has been.

I just checked, there isn't an option for that now, or even a drop down box anymore (trying it on the chrome app). There's a learn at home - so I might try that later. Thanks for the heads up though!

cards.nusextra.co.uk and some peeps suggest browser is critical (Chrome being useless); image is via win10 + Firefox; other peeps have difficulty with concept of indicated provider being only one word and bizarrely insist on using two words which ain't gonna work. Image shows provider's full name miraculously appears after entering six consecutive letters with no spaces.

By buying Totum membership as mentioned in few preceding posts (minimum £13.50 for 12months); then send proof of Totum membership to Amazon as stated at amazon.co.uk/gp/…813 . Fastest way: immediately after Totum application install Totum app to mobile device, add your Totum signup ID to app and then use screenshot of your Totum profile page as the scan that Amazon requests.
