The QNED 86 is better. It has mini led back light with full array local dimming, has a 10w sub woofer, supports Dolby vision & Dolby vision iQ, and a few more picture processing features.
The 81 is only edge lit, which is older technology and can't do proper local dimming or HDR as well. As it won't go as bright or be able to control the dimming as precisely as the 86. It doesn't have any Dolby or a sub woofer.
