Listeria outbreak - check your steamed veg packs
My wife had similar symptoms after eating steam in the bag veg from Tesco. I didn't eat it because it tasted odd.
Several supermarkets are affected including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Lidl, Aldi, Waitrose and Iceland

What to do if you have bought any of the recalled products including refund
If you have bought any of the below listed products do not eat them.
Return the product to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought any of the products listed.

To reduce the risk of infection, consumers should thoroughly cook non ready-to-eat frozen vegetables, even though these products are commonly consumed without cooking (e.g. in salads and smoothies). This applies especially to consumers at highest risk of contracting listeriosis – such as the elderly, pregnant women, new-borns and adults with weakened immune systems. (edited)
Thrown the rest of what I had in the freezer away, sticking to frozen broccoli/carrots/cauliflower for the time being.

Just in case you are not as well educated as you should be about listeria:
Listeria: Frequently Asked Questions. It's a harmful bacterium that can be found in refrigerated, ready-to-eat foods (meat, poultry, seafood, and dairy - unpasteurized milk and milk products or foods made with unpasteurized milk), and produce harvested from soil contaminated with L. monocytogenes.

still got half a bag of value sweetcorn in the freezer the first half didn't kill me
was still wondering if it could be returned for a refund without the receipt ?
Tesco don't even sell it as value anymore
Another point I think is worth making is that this frozen veg is not 'designed' to be kept for long
it should treated in much the same way as fresh veg.
