Looking for a cheap direct debit to set up

Found 11th Aug 2017
I have opened the classic plus account through tsb which requires 2 direct debits to b taken each month.
I had intended moving my Netflix payment to that account but the bank advisor said that is actually a card payment not a direct debit payment.likewise some of the other payments I make are card payments not actual direct debits. Apparently Spotify is the same.

So I'm now on the hunt for a second direct debit to add to the account, looking forward as cheap as possible.
Im with giffgaff using goodbags which I purchase monthly , does anyone know if I opt to recurring payment it'll come off s direct debit? As I could do that but I'm not sure.
Suggestions welcomed

£1 to a charity per month? Plenty on freeview channels to pick from.

Link your Paypal account, that is a direct debit payment.

Credit card DD ?

Like paying my credit card monthly by DD? That sounds like a good idea. How would I go about setting up?

TV Licence
Utility Bill
TSB Monthly saver (pays 2%)
Broadband
Phone
Sky
Car Tax (if you pay monthly )
Insurance
etc
You can move 2 of your DDs simply from your existing bank account .

I personally dislike DDs for anything other than the basics (savings, utilities etc). Subscriptions , Insurance etc you can forget and they take the payments ,so you have to be careful to keep an eye on it .

just change your GG payment to direct debit then, just go and set up a recurring payment like you mentioned.

Contact your credit card provider. You can either set up minimum or full repayment by direct debit. Some companies will also set up a fixed payment amount too

Paying for tv license? This is a money saving site, not a money wasting one.

Yeh but I wasn't sure if it was actually a direct debit as required or this other debit thing like Netflix etc?
Would do council tax but my city does it over 10 months instead of 12 so means I have 2 months it won't come out (admittedly not until next year) but then means I'll need to fill those 2 months with yet another dd

You can ask to have your council tax spread over 12. That's what I've done, so I know what's going out every month.

All councils now offer 12 months BUT you will need to ask for it otherwise it will stay at 10 months
