Tefl course to teach abroad

Hi
Looking for advice. Thinking of teaching abroad for short time costs piling up and maybe moving eventually. Really thinking of doing a tefl course but so many online not sure how or what to do. I'm in my 40s I do have a ba Hons in sociology and cultural studies but never ventured in anything due to life not always playing out way I wanted. Iv also got level 3 in mentoring OCR but again bit lost. Would love some advice. Anyone done course and gone abroad etc. Thanks
