Let's put it this way - if Xbox ever goes offline it will make headline news. You will know about it. It's more likely something at your end or your ISP...

Strangely working again then disconnecting and throwing me out of online gaming. Must be a Internet issue? (edited)
I had problems for a couple of minutes or so
Are you using VPN? I can play online but Xbox app can't see Xbox even though on same wlan. Turn off VPN all OK. 😔
No VPN just messaging & the Xbox app was down for a couple of minutes for me
