User Activity - How to view older comments? Now 12 month history shown + missing deals
Several years ago I deleted my posts made between 2007 to 2015, other than those that were the start of a new deal. This is not an easy process, and particularly since the move to threaded comment view, where I imagine it would be impossible to do it again.
I've clicked on my profile and whereas you used to be able to go back through your entire (remaining) history, I can now only see 11 pages worth of comments, taking me back ~12 months. It seems there is no option to view the history, even by manually amending the URL to page 12.
Can you please advise
A) When did this change come in (and if there's an announcement thread; I find it impossible to search this feedback forum)
B) Whether my older comments are visible should someone search for a thread older than 12 months ago, that I participated in?
I realise there is an option to download a data dump of my profile but that's a separate matter.

the generation will take some time.
Download and unpack the created ZIP file.
The comments.htm contains older comments than just 12 month - in my case till 2019 (my very first comment) YMMV
The permalink comment ID is not part of the export but at least the URL of the commented deal is included.

Use this bookmarklet to open all "View more replies" sections with one cklick. It struggles when there are a lot of replies (>20 or so) but is a time safer for searching in "normal" threads.

remove the underscore from java_script before saving it as a bookmarklet.
I've noticed that activity history (comments on posts etc) now only seem to be limited to one year. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm assuming it's to save on storage?

I don't know if this has already been pointed out to you/mentioned in the feedback section but this has been going on for a while. Some of the deals that I have shared do not appear in my recent activity feed and I've noticed this on other people's feeds as well.
I have just shared a deal for Magazines Direct and it is not showing under activity on my profile. I shared a deal for the Pirates of the Caribbean box set on the 8th of March and it is also not appearing under activity.
We raised a bug ticket at the time, and I've just checked the status, and it is currently 'In Progress' so the team are working on a solution currently, but we don't have a fixed date when it will be resolved.

It had become quite clear that the amount of data we store for each user's activity was no longer sustainable in the longer term (your displayed activity data was going back to 2007, for example ). This was resulting in GBs of data for every member that had become difficult to maintain. The database size and storage requirements to hold all of this activity data was becoming overly burdensome for our Engineering /IT Ops teams, so a decision was made to purge displayed historic activity data in user profiles, to ensure we continue to best optimise how we handle this data moving forward.
All user activity in the 'Activity tab' older than 12 months was purged (in cases where a member has low amount of activity, we retain at least 1 page worth to ensure no empty profiles). No user content will be removed, this is only in relation to older historical activity being displayed in the user profile. (edited)
