Should HUKD offer more carrots to get more members to post deals?

I am curious to know how many members actually post deals from the total number of active members. I am asking this because it seems a very small %age do, at least looking at the feed. And there are many who openly say they are terrified of posting due to the cold votes. So, should HUKD offer more carrots to new deal posters other than the daily reward, if it is not already being done?

Maybe no Cold vote allowed for the first 5 deals posted by a member, additional reward for any of their first 10 deals that go Hot, etc. Just wondering what can be done to diversify the base.

thank you for this feedback/suggestion. I can't go into details & stats, but engaging the new users in posting deals & improving the onboarding process (explaining how Hotukdeals works, how to publish a deal, etc) are 2 main topics we have on our list

Thanks . I do however want to distinguish between someone new to HUKD and someone new to posting a deal. The issue, in my opinion, seems to be getting people who do everything on HUKD except post a deal.

I don't post deals because the last few deals were removed without a clear reason why. Why bother if I can only post from certain sellers etc.

My last deal was an Xbox series X during Christ 2 years ago when it was hard to get. It was OOS everywhere, I mentioned I got one from Game in Kingston upon Thames and that there is now more stock in other GAME stores .

Deal was removed because they (the mod) calmed it was "local only stock" and it would cause a goose chase...
6 hours later someone else posted the same deal from Game (the same seller) and it goes hot.

If they offered more of a carrot, I wouldn't bother as the rules keep changing. You need to change the experience first, as it's not fun to post and it's being removed for a subpar reason. (edited)

OP, unfortunately, your suggestion probably wouldn't work due to being abused by existing deal posters creating new ID's.

This is already happening with some regular deal posters running multiple ID's so they can win more than one voucher in a day. (edited)

I understand there will be some abuse but that's up to HUKD doing the policing bit. But even if it helps expand the deal posters base numbers, it will help everyone.
