My £20 discount had an expiry date so I need a new contract. For others reference I've been offered:

    2GB data, mins, texts = £7/m
    4GB data, mins, texts = £8/m

They won't match slightly better Plusnet 2.5gb or Virgin 2gb offers for me

They just called me back and said I don't need to go and buy a PAYG SIM to migrate to now as they're honouring a lot of the orders. As such, they are just processing it and dispatching the SIM in the post to me today.

I suspect this is going to be one of those 'depends on who you get' scenarios as to your outcome. I must say though, based on today and an issue that arose last week when I took out my mobile wi-fi plan, their customer service is absolutely spot on. Last time I was with them, around the time of the T-Mobile/EE switch, it was atrocious foreign call centres but I'm massively impressed now.

EDIT: Also, there was absolutely no confirmation of this but she said she'd be very surprised if they take the discount off after 12 months as they don't usually do it. I'll keep my eye out in a year's time but will certainly keep this as a second line at this price!

for everybody who has had £0.00 bill/month, for some reason the discount …for everybody who has had £0.00 bill/month, for some reason the discount on your account was applied twice and it's covered the full cost of your plan. Do the right thing, be honest and tell them

Yes sure...I LL ring them tomorrow
Why would I pay £0 when I can pay £5 instead!!? (edited)

Got a call from 01462439891... they wanted a PAY AS YOU GO sim card. I told them to call me tomorrow and the guy said he wont and then i asked for the manager That didn't happen. Called the 0800 079 0531, they didn't have any issues setup the account that second. The Lady on the phone said they received an internal memo to complete the orders

You DO NOT need to top up.
I got a free sim from 3s website and upon receiving it I just used the 3 app to port my existing number from another provider over to it, it was completed the next day on the very same day I called them and asked for my PAC code and when they asked why I told them I could not get a signal in my workplace yesterday I ported my number to EE everything was done within 4 working days.

Did u manage to get ofcom to sort it out or did they not upgrade u?

No had to wait till I could upgrade 6m in & would keep discount. As EE gave the chance to refund all costs (miselling as they wouldn’t allow moving plans with discount intact as promised) they back you into a corner, the usual BT nonsense, the usual regulator nonsense that’s suitable way to resolve but not address the issue - it’s a cartel really, Sharon Whyte has done some great things but a overhaul of Ofcom is still not done. ASA weren’t even interested because the email was ‘direct existing customer offer’ not advertised.

The political used to screw the world over for the empire, now they just do it to Brits circa Thatcherism onwards.

I think if your order went through online you will have a expiry date. Like many others I had to phone up and get the discount added and there is no expiry date

Kind of interesting reading back through this deal. I took it out and got double discounts and had my contract for free for a year. Missed the boat on the 25GB upgrade. Never received a text. as some have reported.

After 18ish months I'm still on the deal but lost one of the loyalty discounts and now paying £6p/m for 4.5GB and unlimited BT Sports which you can use with the Windows App without casting.
  19. brooklynsindahouse's avatar
I still have the deal also . But sometime ago i had upgraded to 30gb unlimited minutes/ texts for like £4.70 it’s been that way for a long time now 😃
This was the best deal ever

Do you still have access to bt sports for free (if you used before)

I have still got BT sport (free) with 25GB data from this original deal

I'm tempted to ask for a 5g sim deal, with my discounts added of course (edited)

well I’ve got this deal earlier

I do wish though EE had said something sooner, as I have asked in the past about keeping my discount etc and no one from EE mention this option

    so thanks to dgm

I've got the £30, 200GB 5G unlimited minutes/texts & BT Sports as a Price Plan change which keeps the original discount of £20 so it works out at £10 all in

as well as it recorded on chat via email

So if I go on ee live chat and ask for my price plan change to go onto …So if I go on ee live chat and ask for my price plan change to go onto 200gb, unlimited mins/text plus my free existing add-ons ie free BT mobile sport ,also 5g SIM to replace my 4g SIM, you guys reckon should be paying only £10pm with my £20 loyalty discount PS is there anyway I can see what price plan change could be available to me via my ee account btw are you guys able to use EE app, as mine hasn't been working for months now [Image]

I've been using the BT app via this original offer since day 1.

the new Price Plan change includes what they call now a swappable benefit, which means you can change your benefit once every 30 days if you wish
I can't see anything yet as I was advised everything will change on my next billing date (15th)

just follow the advice above and get everything in confirmed in the chat, then email to yourself at the end.

if your app is not working do one of two tings (or both) log out and log back in, if this does not work delete your app and reinstall it.
I use my app almost every day, more so in the past 2-3 weeks due to EE deals I've been chasing.

you can check your acount online as well, if your still on this deal, you are bound to be ready/entitled to what will call an upgrade, but you don't want that you want a Price Plan Change to enable you to keep your £20 discount. (edited)
