Bought it last week on the Vita for £2.50. Finished it yesterday.
Decent game for the money and short enough to not overstay it's welcome too much as it is quite basic.

    For a handheld it's perfect

I'm not really much of a gamer, but I absolutely loved this game. 10/10.

I played it a few years ago on PS3, it's an 8bit kinda looking game which I always get along with.

Sure I played this through PlayStation Plus and really enjoyed it , I'd watch some gameplay to give you an idea of what it's like

    Is it similar to Spelunky?

Similar art style if you squint maybe but that's about it. Quite Dark Souls-y in its mechanic of you dropping treasure when you die but it's nowhere near as unforgiving as Spelunky.

Great game with a good metroid influence in terms of acquiring new skills to access new areas. Short with little replay value but the experience is a lot of fun, esp at this price

Is there a storyline to this or is it like a sandbox game where you just dig and discover stuff?

Like Captain says, it's a basic story. The primary hook of this game comes from tight platforming action and discovering what your new abilities unlock. Not a sandbox game at all.
