would you not be better spending another £20 and use the £25 off £150?

what best this or the Nintendo switch? for a 7 year old boy

Personally I'd be tempted with the regular 2DS which can be gotten for £75 with a game. Of course it doesn't look as nice as more expensive versions and there are a couple of games that only work on the new version, but it is cost effective with a more expansive library. It depends on your budget and child though, the switch obviously has superior graphics to the 2DS but its games also cost more at the moment. Plus the 2/3DS is the only one that has the main pokemon series games if your kid is into that.

i actually like it and how often are you going to look at it, apart from the screen when you are playing it it feels so much better to hold than the other versions

Thanks, think I will. Do you know if I could use the code twice? Say do 2 orders of a 2ds and a game to save £25 on each order? Cheers

if they are think of the future yes a switch but for here and now this would be the better choice for a larger library of games and cheaper price.

if they are happy with the smaller amount of games (most of which are very good) then the switch but if not the 2ds/3ds.

But then again Mario is out next month and that alone could be worth the price of a switch, might be best to wait to see if they will be anygood bundles when it comes out (edited)

Think it's supposed to be £119.99 in the title, not £199.99.

There is a better code for spending £150 or more I think.

Even if you just want one, may as well add a game and get the bigger discount.

These (for me) feel more akin to the toyish WiiU compared with either Switch or the New 3DS with (quite importantly) interchangeable faceplates. I certainly won't be trading my New 3DS for these new variants.

good point especially if its a young child, far better with the old 2ds, might not looks as nice or feel as nice but its £50 cheaper

I think one of these 2DS/3DS would be best for now. Plenty of great games he can play like Pokemon or Yo-kai Watch or even Monster hunter Stories. The list goes on. Not sure which device I'd recommend though. If small screens isn't a problem then the regular 2DS is good enough but if he needs a bigger screen to see things better then this is a good choice too.

grab a 1st gen (ugh) 2ds for half the price. Rugged as heck and for kids there fine. Heck if had a few more quid i'd probably grab one just for fun. Ninty didnt need to do this, and that's coming from a nintendo fan.

It goes in a case so don't understand not buying it because of how it looks, once its open no big difference between it and the 3ds and for me was a lot more comfortable to hold
