Ok, so I picked up my £1.99 PS4 Pro a few hours ago, here's whats happened to me since the initial order on 23rd Nov.

1: Ordered mis-priced £199.99 white bundle with 4 games via paypal, then it was cancelled and refunded the next day.

2: Got all 3 "honour" emails (never contacted Currys, I just waited patiently)

3: Got 4th gift card email around 4.45pm today.

4: Reserved just the standard white pro with no games (£299.99) at my local store.

5: Picked up console and the nice guy behind counter stated that I could get 2 free games (GT Sport & Knowledge is Power) since there was a bundle on the store system that included those games, I said sure, he then scanned my gift card barcode from my phone for £298 off, I handed him a £2 coin, he didn't hand me 1p back since he didn't have any in the till, told him its cool, then walked really fast out of the store.

End of story, currently sat at home setting up my Pro and listing my Slim for sale, happy days.

they are tracking the voucher code... its has flagged up on there system as cancelled.. if anyone is/has gone to pick up a purchase via the barcode number on the giftcard they will be able to trace them and i can take action against them. im just hapoy to have recieved a £298 refund into my account. i can use that anyway i like now.

I ordered at £199, had it go through before being refunded. I received the "we will honour" and "we're in a holding pattern whilst sourcing stock" emails. I've patiently waited since.

Looking back over the last ten+ pages, the amount of ungrateful people on this thread is ridiculous. The fact is they did not have to honour anything, but have kindly said they will. It's the Christmas period, nobody works on a weekend and it's a complex process if there are a large number of orders. The majority of staff would have been unaware of the plan going forward right away, so understandably there was a lot of misinformation. Give them a chance to get it right.

If I was CEO of Currys, I would not honour something like this again but offer £20 off code, or similar - but kudos to them for actually trying.

Ok.... went to pick my reserved white ps4 pro with 2 games. They didn't have GT sport game in stock. Guy said I need to pick it up from a different store. That's when I spoke to the manager. He gave me COD WW2 instead GT sport for free. It's just getting better and better.

Working in e-commerce or not doesn't mean they can't give loose dates, they can even back it up with the possibility to change (like most companies do) .This also might be a nightmare for them but you keep people informed and they are more likely to let stuff slide, you don't keep people updated with the specifics and you get a revolt, even if we get the consoles I doubt most people will buy from them again.

So you ordered a HUKD misprice (knowing full well it was) and was charged. The order was cancelled and you was refunded. Slight inconvenience, BUT that was the risk most people took when they placed the order - £200 tied up for a few days. It was a gamble......
Then Currys offered to honor the misprice (great), but are having a few issues in fulfilling all the orders - blimey must be the end of the world. Just be patient and you might get a really great deal.
I just don't understand the blame culture and something for nothing society. Keep contacting the CEO or Customer Services is just delaying the whole process. All the time they keep dealing with these questions.....just slows everything down and could mean that they pull the whole goodwill gesture.
Remember - Currys don't need to honor the deal, but it would be good PR in trying to salvage a massive b*lls up.
If you need the PS4 Pro so badly just walk away or be a little patient !!!

    Pathetic

People need to get a grip, they didn't have to honour it ffs !!

How can people still be complaining?

Currys have said they would honour it, which they didn't need to. They have emailed (most) about stock issues, which is fine. Just let them get on with it and when they can send it out im sure they will.

Maybe it would of been better for them to just cancel all orders. I'm sure next time it happens, with all the people complaining, they won't bother and will just cancel. (edited)

It's the not keeping anyone updated with dates that is unacceptable, I can …It's the not keeping anyone updated with dates that is unacceptable, I can understand delays especially with it being december but to not tell anyone even a loose date is not right. There is no point contacting them as nobody honestly knows where this is going, it feels like a slap in the face and we are meant to be thankful for it. I also can't see why we can't have either the games or the console and wait for the rest?Is it a good deal? Yes.Is it worth a bit of hassle to get? Yes.Have Currys gone the right way about it? Not a chance.I feel like contacting the CEO and telling them how to fix the situation as there are only a couple of things that need doing but this isn't my mess to clean up.

But they have kept everyone up to date though, haven't they?

First email said they would be back in touch within a week to progress order; obviously they were unable to do that but they still sent a follow up email (a week to the day) to let you know what was going on.

They've now said they will be in touch when they have more stock; if they gave you a "loose date" then they are only going to upset you further when they stock doesn't materialise by that date.

I've worked in e-commerce and this is without doubt a logistical nightmare and will involve almost every area of the online business.

Hold fire everyone, they'll get there in the end. We're lucky that they're even considering honouring the deal!

It's embarrassing watching some people completely lose it over deals like this! I've ordered the £199 bundle and have received both emails. I'm confident Currys will honour this deal, because they've sent me 2 emails telling me so! We all know people like this, I tend to avoid them where possible

Far too many people on here saying this will happen or that will happen. Going from the facts and information I have Currys have kept me informed and told me I'm getting a PS4 Pro before Christmas and well below retail price. Can't see what all this negativity is about. Only people to say I'm not or getting something else are the many people who have commented above. Relax folks and take a pill.

It's all over the place but now we're all pretty much being pointed to the same direction that it should be despatched before 18th, which is good but you know its just frustrating about how it was dealt with. Once again they didnt have to honour it but they did but there was definitely different ways to approach than the way they did it this time.Brownie points for them for honouring the glitch but no so much on how it was dealt with

I can't see where this "lack of communication" is. They emailed me weekly and told me everything I need to know. The only misinformation has been from the people in here.

i have had confirmation that the code can be traced so that is good... if the said thief would like to message me to sort this out amicably (i understand you took advantage of an opportunity placed in error on my behalf)with no consequences then please do, otherwise expect some sort of contact tomorrow.

GOT MY CODE FINALLY!!! £313 TO SPEND ON WHAT I WANT.

DO NOT give up and cave in and buy the original bundle, they want you to so this. You have to be stubborn and stick to your guns. They CANNOT give to some and not others. For people that are left I REALLY hope it all comes through, not going to say be patient as this has gone on long enough.

Still not impessed with the misleading staff though.

So just an update. I called them on Monday and was told I'd get a call back after 24hrs. Didn't get a call. When I called them after work on Tues (called after work around 7pm and was on hold until 8pm) the guy I spoke to tried to transfer me at around 8.02pm and came back to say they'd gone home. So, he told me to call again at 8am this morning and go through to sales and speak to a lady called Roxanne. Funnily enough sales picked up the call immediately. Ironic but at least I wasn't holding for another hour. Was put through to Roxanne who processed the original order for me. I asked if there was any way I could have the product in my hands today but she said no. I wasn't too fussed about arguing for the gift card instead. This close to Christmas I just want the console in my hands (the only reason I might have argued was in solidarity with loopylloyd but he has his now so all good!) So, hopefully this will be arriving, in full, tomorrow, in tact.

Well done to everyone who has had the outcome they wanted. It's been quite a ride!

Nothing I did was illegal. I returned the product and asked them to refund it to the card instead of the gift card and the manager approved. So it isn’t my problem if the manager approved

Starting to feel sorry for Currys' CS. It was an obvious misprice, they've said they're going to honour the deal and then they update everyone on time to let them know that there are understandably stock issues to resolve.

If it was the code that was posted maybe you could use that argument …If it was the code that was posted maybe you could use that argument (highly doubtful), the person who stole this would have had to type in a very long URL and clearly knew what they where doing.Best they could do is take the guy up on his generous offer and come clean, is it worth having this hanging over your head at Christmas for £300 ?The only way the thief could have gotten away with it is if they had used it in store, obviously due to the speed the code was used it was an online transaction so the police/currys will have all the details

Mate really what do you you think plod will do about it, there’s a shop near me gets robbed left right n center the owner rings up sorry we don’t even come out to things Lilke this anymore we don’t have the manpower, so what do you think they will do about some numpty on an Internet forum who gives away £300, I hope I’m wrong and Currys say no problem here’s another £300 but seriously do you think they will be realistic merry Xmas (edited)

Update live from the airport - finally spoken to them and at first made positive noises about just sending the game out. Then he said he had to check with a manager and came back and said “good news we are going to swap it on the doorstep for the right package”. I said no you aren’t mate as that package doesn’t exist - I want the game. He said he would pass it on to the woman who was dealing with it before and she would be in touch. Not going to worry about it now as I’m off , cheers hukd ?
