The new, clamshell-design system is now available in a stylish Pikachu yellow colour, and will use the same size large screen found on New Nintendo 3DS XL systems. As the name of the new system implies, visuals will be displayed in 2D only. The system is lighter but still packs the same power as New Nintendo 3DS XL, and has built-in NFC support for amiibo cards and figures.     Does anyone have any experience of the pricing on these I’m wanting this one for my sons next birthday it’s not until November he has a old 3ds at the minute he’s started showing loads of interest in recently so thinking will get him this next. Will the price drop by near Christmas or do they hold this value? Will it perhaps be hard to get a hold of the pikachu edition? Any insight would be great.

    I purchased this on release:

    I highly doubt this 2DS XL will decrease in price much before going out of stock.
