I'll pick it up when it goes down to £20.

First party nintendo title. Guess you can play it in a couple of years.

At £20 they'd sell many orders of magnitude more. That said, I'll buy it eventually, love a bit of Kirby

Nintendo tax at £40? This is below the standard price for a new release top tier console game? Not like you can get it cheaper on another console.

Same. If it was a single player Kirby I'd be snapping it up at this price, but until I hear more about the single player experience on this I'm holding off

I rather wait a year or two than spend £40 on something that's not worth more than £15-20 to me.

It's Kirby. Not a popular franchise or particularly good games. Amazed it's still going after all these years, has always lacked quality. This game should be better than Paintbrush was, but can't imagine many will be daft enough to pay £40. Predict sub £30 prices within a month of release.

Indeed but I wouldn't call it a top tier game. Platform is irrelevant too, not sure what your point is really. Many platform exclusive games are discounted or sold for lower rrp at launch. My point is that nintendo rarely discount their titles and would sell more if they did. They're slowly cottoning on and doing digital sales but still underwhelming. Each to their own anyway, enjoy if you pick it up!

This isn't even close to top tier. Nintendo probably used 1/6 of the budget used on developing Super Mario Odyssey.

Perhaps sub 30 for v.1. In a few years v.3 will be same price

It's a better series and more established series than something like Yoshi.

Kirby games are definitely not my cup of tea. They suited the 3ds better, so it might do well on the switch.

I really want the Toejam and Earl game to be released asap, just for the nostalgia. I hope Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be a great game on the Switch (something even remotely close to Castlevania symphony of the night would be amazing).

I heard that they're going to reduce the price of this next week, by a lot. SO I have to vote this one Cold. (edited)

Yeah, I have also had the delay email. I am going to make my complaint with amazon as although they are giving me the right to cancel I no longer have the option to get it today at the current price. If I had known that there would be a delay before the release then I would have looked for an alternative retailer.
