They offer decent grip (especially in the dry, and for the money). 'Fuel Efficient Tyres' refer to low rolling resistance, which basically means poor grip, poor braking, and poor handling. The 4 tyres are the only things that separate the car from the road, they're the only parts which make contact with the road. You don't want poor grip. You'd be better off going a couple of PSI higher than usual (not advisable in the wet though) if you're interested in saving fuel. That and maybe keeping you car weight as low as possible by removing unnecessary items from it, and driving as efficiently as you can. Don't mean to preach
P.S "Price shown is for a complete set of 4 tyres, you pay for 3 and get the 4th free".
You have to add only 1 item to the basket (3+1 tyres) and check out (edited)
maybe that’s what the E stands for? it must be something like...
A: atrocious
B: bad
C: credible
D: decent
E: exceptional
F: fantastic
have you looked up what difference it actually makes? a set of four tyres with an A rating will save “up to” 80 litres of fuel over their lifetime compared to tyres with a G rating. what’s that, about £25 a tyre in saved fuel?
on the plus side, these tyres mean I can go around corners a lot faster, so no need to slow down (saves my brakes) and accelerate again (saving fuel).
These tyres don’t last that long, i replace mine every couple of years but it’s money well spent.
Lucky we live in a nice dry country then!
I put these on my previous car about a year or so ago, and removed them 2 weeks later.
Have a look at the reviews before you buy these

But it's on damp or moist roads where the true, terrifying nature of these tyres really comes alive. There is no consistency in grip at all and the tyres are prone to just let go completely. There's no sign of warning that the tyres are losing grip, they just go from making a vague effort of having grip to giving up entirely, all in the space of a split second

Well... i had a set of these tyres fitted on the front of my 200hp FWD car and at first was slightly unimpressed at the levels of dry grip... then one day it rained.
The oxford English dictionary does not contain a single word to describe how bad this devil spawn of a tyre performs when faced with any type of moisture. I had as much control as my 3 yr old nephews RC car on our laminate kitchen floor.
Turning the steering wheel on any kind of wet roundabout resulted in certain under steer whereby my car would just carry on in a straight line, comparable to your Xbox controller batteries running out mid corner online on forza motorsport.
I had these on for 1 month and removed them, straight line acceleration had my front wheels spinning more than an autistic kids fidget spinner throughout the whole of the 2017 craze.
Id buy them again if held at gunpoint to do so, and would highly recommend them to my ex girlfriend.

Had these already fitted onto my Leon FR! Never again. Can not work out why people think these should go on anything more powerful than a shopping trolley. Wet grip=lethal, dry= bumb clenching. Possibly one of the worst tyres I have ever had on a car. A week after buying the car with these on had Pirelli nero's fitted. Avoid unless you like death.
etc etc
There may be no such thing as 'fuel efficient tyres' but before discarding this totally it is worth bearing in mind that these Toyos will cost drivers more in fuel than a more 'fuel efficient' tyre such as a Good Year 'efficient grip' or Pirelli cinturato p7 blue for example.
The increase in fuel cost between 'B' Rated efficiency tyres and 'F' Rated Tyres is approx. £150 (all 4 tyres) or £37.50 per tyre based on an expected mileage of 25k miles.
All depends on your driving though I guess , if your tyres usually last around 10k miles (perhaps you do predominantly town driving or perhaps you like your handbrake turns?) then the efficiency is less of an issue and this deal would be perfect.
I'm looking at the cost over the lifetime of the tyres and for me there are better tyres available than the Toyos in this deal when taking into account the fuel saving of £150.
Toyos are working out at £220 fitted for the 4 so the real cost of these will be £370 with the additional fuel over the lifetime of the tyres
Goodyear Efficient grips are £360 fitted for 4.
Conclusion : Good Years / Dunlops will cost more initially but will likely have a longer lifespan and definitely better wet grip (Rated A) than these (Rated E) so will be a more cost effective option for me in the long run.
Its easy to be 'wowed' by cheap prices but factor in the cost of ownership (increased fuel cost) and actual tyre lifespan and this, for me certainly is a false economy.
And anyone know who will/can fit them and the costs associated with that?
If you take a look at your car, it will have the info written on the tyre
errrrrr, well i’ve used these tyres for the last 10 years and never found a ditch. that’s been on rear wheel drive cars with the engine in the back, acting like a big aluminium pendulum. so i’d disagree with on that. I don’t have traction control acting as a guardian angel either.
if you found a ditch in the wet when you used them, i’d say it’s user error, and you need to work on your driving skills and decision making. if, of course you’ve not found a ditch because you’ve never actually used these tyres..... well, your opinion becomes even less relevant.
Bet you drive about on 4 part worns lol
Some countries require to have matching pairs (front different back different)
In uk you can have 4 different tyres legally
Each to their own but I have no trouble
Altough my tyres are always new, not 5-10year old part worns
Have dębica in front and barums in rear now
Works good
not accelerating earlier, that would use more fuel. i’m on about not having to accelerate out of corners as much because these tyres let me carry warp speed through the corners. it deffo works, sometimes I get 200 miles from a tank of fuel
Its £148.23 delivered for 4 x 225/45/17 T1-R using the discount code as oppossed to £219.60 at JJC
They don’t do run flats on this offer. My sons just changed from run flats on his mini to these Toyos and bought a can of holts tyre weld. Ride is so much better and works out a lot cheaper too
I get a quote of £130.21 for a set at those sizes. Looks like you have added 3 tyres, only add 1 then choose the offer.
Ebay code no longer working either it seems.
Yet to collect mine from the post office but according to Parcelforce it has come in two packages, maybe only one of your packages has arrived.
Had 2 before this one and ran the same tyres, difference in comfort is minimal though being lowered doesn't make it the most comfortable ride anyway
Mine came yesterday, 2 packs with 2 tyres taped together in each one
I have deleted my comment after you pointing that out. Seriously good price.
I added 3 lol. I wouldn't of had a use for 12 tyres (edited)
Thanks I have ordered the same one cheap
unless you get 8
But in the wet they are so sketchy. Had them on a modified Mini Cooper S and didn't enjoy driving in the wet at all.
Would this be worse than something like Roadstone(budget brand) that has an A and B rating for wet grip and fuel efficiency?
