Edit 19th December: Back in stock!
Clearance with a 12 month Argos guarantee
Get your hands on the original TW Steel. With a stunning dark brown leather strap and striking black face the Canteen is still the number one collection.
Defined by the signature hook/crown cap and two steel dots on the leather strap it's an instantly recognisable design icon. The easy to read face gives you a date function and the watch itself is water resistant to 100 metres depth. The glass face is scratch resistant meaning you can wear it every day.
Model number cs31.
Watch features:
Catalogue Number 543/5498
Some may hate the huge crown and dial, though. Don't think this model CS31 has Lume either (Argos ebay also sells the CS21 for £5 more at £44.99, mentioned here - kudos Geemac). CS21s with Lume here
(Not sure if it comes with this box, but Jura Watches has it for £225jurawatches.co.uk/col…290 )Official Dutch TW Steel page translate.google.com/tra…rch
which says, via Google Translate:
Instruction manual .pdf: argos-support.co.uk/ins…pdf
UK TW Steel page at £225: twsteeluk.com/tw-…5mm
£69.90 from an Amazon third party seller: amazon.co.uk/dp/…4B4
Other prices: google.com/sho…IDQ
Here's an in-depth review of the 45mm on Watchuseek (cream dial): forums.watchuseek.com/f71…tml
Apparently TW Steel also features a higher end model with a Swiss Ronda 585 Caliber movement
..and there's a 50mm version available too.
In Dutch, but here's an unboxing and quick review, this is the larger 50mm variant:
Amazon says the (Argos) 45mm dial version has a 22mm lug width (if you want to change the strap) - though Amazon have caught me out with incorrect watch dimensions, will try to confirm.

Was looking at a watch on ebay. Didn't know what was lumed on the face (I like lume). Couldn't find any pic of the face showing what was lumed.
So I asked the seller of the watch "What is lumed?"
My entire reply was.. "It stands for glow in the dark".

Thanks louiselouise.
I linked to the UK and Dutch TW Steel sites in the original post
If your looking to swap the strap goto Steinhart to get really good straps they also do fantastic mechanical watches with ETA movements. Can highly recommend their Pilot watches . (edited)
Yeah, in much the same way someone driving an Aventador would look at a bloke in a Focus. They do the same thing, at diametrically opposed price points.
Comparing this watch to a Patek Philippe is nuts.
Thanks. I'd rather go for the CS21 instead, then, as I prefer lume. Link here ebay.co.uk/itm…600
Edit: Does the cream CS21 ebay.co.uk/itm…613 have a luminescent dial? (edited)
No
Steinhart looks great, but many of the accessories cost much more than this watch!
Amazon has the TWCS31 listed as "Product Dimensions: 11 x 15 x 13 cm ; 141 g" but that's probably for the box itself, as they tend to focus on shipping weight/dimensions.
May be worth putting a question up on Q&A.
Soundly rejected and returned.
His reason was it is just a cheap U-BOAT copy.
No quality no weight and no style.
Each to their own but he is a watch buff and called it rubbish. (edited)
I have a massive 50mm TW which is the same style just in rose gold.
I wear my watch on my left hand and the hinge cap starts to hurt my wrist after a few hours, great looking watch but will leave marks on your wrist.
Heat added too, I payed over £300 for mine 5 years ago.
I wear mine on my left wrist too, but before the end of the ulna bone, so it doesn't touch the back of my hand. I'll never understand people who wear watches right up to the end of their wrist. It's uncomfortable and limits movement.
How bizarre, that's the exact same one as I ordered!
Lol, my sarcasm detector is beeping; Patek? ~£120,000
This is 45mm, it will look great. TW also don't wear particularly big either. I have more watches than you can shake a stick at, and this one I would consider as 'entry level' large watch, and ideal for people without big wrists. My wrist are certainly aren't big at all, although I do have a few 48mm and 50mm watches too. They are pretty hug in fairness.
Here's a pic of one of my TW Steel watches on my girly wrists
