Update 3
Further price decrease, now £19.99 - use code FOODPARCEL for free delivery
Aldi will be launching an online food box from Friday 17th April containing 21 items e.g. toilet paper, antibacterial handwash, tuna 4 pack, pasta (listed items below) and will be priced at £24.99 including delivery. Given the Morrisons box is £35 thought it looked better value. Will be limited to one per customer. The food box is aimed at helping vulnerable people and those self-isolating. Will be available on aldi.co.uk/foo…els
Please shop responsibly. As Coronavirus uncertainty develops, we are seeing a lot of community demand for basic household items. Please do consider others - we all need to work together to ensure everyone gets what they need. So please don’t stockpile, and perhaps offer to help older neighbours, family or friends by sourcing items for them.
Aldi’s food parcels will contain the following 21 items

sorted byIf you cant leave the house, cant get a delivery slot and don’t have someone that can shop for you then you can’t be picky, food is food.
We need more people like you. This is the right time to help the most vulnerable and elderly people. Keep doing the great job you are doing. All of us need to stick together and stay home to save the NHS
Here's a bag of food that no-one could make a meal out of - make a meal from the ingredients. Starting now!

I do what I can. If I can help anyone i will. She's got heart problems, arthritis and other health issues, it's taken me three weeks to get a shopping slot with Asda for her which is coming today. I'll still be ordering a box for her though just incase most items are out of stock or are subbed with something she doesn't eat- if there's anything that she doesn't like I'll donate to my local food Bank. So there's no wastage appreciate your comment
Not much there for a vegan, they don't eat chocolate, biscuits or rice pudding!! I'm not a vegan btw
Totally agree
With all due respect and sincerely no offence to anyone, was this put together by a vegan?
No bread, eggs, milk, fresh fish, chicken breast, fresh veg or fruit ? Just tinned muck and the lowest selling items in the shop. Aldi taking advantage of the situation and shoppers unease at leaving the home it seems.
And YES I fully understand people not wanting to leave home and go shopping which is MORE of a reason why Supermarkets should be stepping up and providing those customers with wholesome food (they have raided our pockets for long enough , no ?) rather than the cheap rat from their bottom shelves. (edited)
No. Entertain us and list the contents and price please
and what about those that have life threatening food intolerances? or have other dietary requirements? (edited)
Unless you don't eat or are allergic to some of the contents i.e. dairy, nuts and fish.
Its going to help some people so heat from me
Waitrose listed Harrisa paste as a 'student essential' 😬
Sorry, but you’re being pedantic. I’ve also got a serious allergy, but I know what I can and can’t eat the clue is in the ingredients which legally have to be clearly listed with all possible allergens. If you’re not sure, my advice would be to simply not buy it. These boxes are meant to help 90% of people in a global pandemic, not cater for a few of us with allergies.
Not sure if they will be changing the items every week, but getting 200 tea bags a week & instant coffee sounds like hording to me
I like the idea, if someone can't go to the shop or cannot buy items online themselved - this is great - I hope products will change later.
This caters for majority.
There still are minority vegans and vegetarians out there and they would need self isolate too. They've been ignored unfortunately.
For those of you saying this has a massive mark up, the above information is in the product description.
goes live tomorrow
'Raided our pockets'? Supermarkets run on wafer thin margins and historically have always lost money on online delivery (hence Aldi and Lidl don't offer it).
If you are part of the critically vulnerable group and cannot get help then you are eligible for the government supplied food boxes already.
Then this isn't for them.

SURE, it's not perfect but a "one size fits all" box is never going to be perfect by definition. There's bound to be something that somebody won't like but as people have said.....if you are in need, you'll take the lot. And yes the product page points out the allergy information but TBH it's not really designed for those with allergies, is it?
And the reason there is no fresh meat (but tinned Chilli) no fresh milk (but UHT) and no fresh bread (but part baked rolls) is because it is an ambient box of provisions designed more for the pantry than the fridge.
If I was stuck at home and someone arranged for this box, I'd certainly be thankful for the thought AND the products. I wouldn't be unpacking it thinking where's the flowers and the golden ticket to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.......
Well done OP for drawing attention to this (edited)
I can answer that for you. This deal is getting berated because some people are stupid. In fact, I don't think I have ever read a thread on this site with so many stupid people. Complaints about how they can't have items because of an allergy or intolerance (deal with it), people ignorant about allergies and intolerances or those who haven't considered Aldi's limitations in being able to supply fresh food...
14,000 dead and whinging about a deal that doesn't suit them...
