17950868591588066079.jpgI have the SanDisk SSD PLUS 1tb and these are the speeds I'm getting - great for keeping my game collection.

Anyone know how these compare to WD greens/crucial bx500s?

This SSD is better, it's DRAM SSD. WD green/BX500 are DRAM-Less SSD. DRAM SSD tend to come with 5 year warranty, compared to DRAM-Less SSD that come with only 3 years.

Very similar performance as the crucial mx500 and WD blue, both and upgrade to the ones you’ve mentioned.
the 3D sandisk apparently are exactly the same as WD blue

I got 10% off by signing up to the wd newsletter. Didn't get a code delivered but when I registered as a customer on the website with the same email address it automatically applied the 10% discount. Saved an extra 80p.

From what I've read, these are somewhat slow for large files.

according to amazon reviews they seem to have a high failure rate lasting only 2 or so months

Just looked at the reviews and there's a few people that say that...but the vast majority are 4 or 5 stars.

Compared to the equivalent Samsung 860 Evo, the distribution of review scores are very similar.

Was kicking myself when they went oos after asking my earlier questions and dithering too long

    Nevermind, ordered now...can't wait

My 128 GB boot drive is nearly full (likely none boot stuff) and looking at spending circa £50 on a larger replacement - is this still the best value vs speed?
    TIA
