About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
Google One 100GB plan for 59p a month (down from £1.59) for the first year making it £7.08 - a decent saving over the upfront yearly price of £15.99. Cancel any time. Use your Google Rewards balance for the monthly payment.
I've been teetering at around 14.5GB for a while on the free plan and have done several tidy ups to stay under 15GB. This seems like a good price to save further hassle.
Not sure if it's account specific but works for me.

sorted byBecause this costs £32.92 less and many people don't need 1TB. (edited)
Same account specific
My rewards balance has taken a massive hit during lockdown
Deffo account specific - Probably just new accounts, i'm already on the 100 plan, so no discount offer for me.
I don't know what Mega's pricing is these days, but they give 50GB for free.
Nextcloud is a fantastic open source solution and you choose your own host for data. I use one that has £5/month for 100GB, but if you pay 3 years in advance then you get 400GB and a lifetime license. So that's £180 for lifetime. For (I think) £240 one off you get 1.4TB for lifetime.
A good backup policy is the 3-2-1 method: keep 3 copies of your data, 2 onsite and 1 in the cloud. So, the original data, plus some local USB hard drive or your own home server, plus a cloud storage.
Where possible I try to use open source software, which is likely to be more secure.
Yeah, showing up at £1.59 per month for me too.
Account specific for me aswell I’m afraid

And it’s for 6 users, 1TB each too
You can use g suite just same as g drive if that was the question
No email. Was just doing some account maintenance and saw the price there. I've been wanting to use some Rewards balance and been considering this for ages. As the yearly price is usually a better deal but my account balance doesn't cover it and can't be used I've avoided it. At this price monthly it makes sense finally.
So if I get G-suite then is the 100gb automatically included?
Possibly. I have 1TB on MS too but Google Drive is so handy with the Chromebook and it's handy for work too although we use MS there. I'm planning on retiring in April next year so this will hopefully keep me going until then - after that I won't need so much data storage anywhere.
Go on the google one website and scroll down. You’ll see the deal. Just purchased iCloud storage today for 59p a month/50GB. So do I really need 100GB more? For 59p a month, why not.
Woo it's cheap for me!!
Or do both if you're sensible... If your hard drive hasn't failed yet, it will at some point. It's not if, it's when.
If you value your data you will store it locally and via some kind of cloud / offsite storage. Drive failure, fire, flood, theft. So many ways the drive plugged into your router can be lost and that's where your cloud storage will come to the rescue.
If you're concerned about security, then encrypt / zip / password protect the data before it's synced to the cloud storage.
My wife’s iPhone has 256GB and 200GB is take up by photos and videos so I would agree that for some people 100GB is not that much
It'll be on their website. Most people will never read it. That's fine for most. What will happen is that Google will be able to scan your stuff, monitor your activity and (being a USA corporate) give total transparency and access to the NSA (and thus to the UK government via GCHQ). For storage of family photos, what does that matter, mostly!
