Important. During this period of heightened restrictions, it’s important we all shop responsibly, minimise our trips out and continue to help slow the spread of Covid-19. You can find your local restrictions here. This deal is not a guarantee there will be any stock in the store, so please don’t make a trip you wouldn’t have made otherwise just for this item.
B&M store In Slough Queensmere is closing down. 50% off everything. Big queue outside so I didn’t queue up but people were buying trollies full of stuff! Just this store only.

I'm sorry, I do realise there is a disclaimer about COVID-19.
It would however seem there are people already flouting the rules at the B&M store you are advertising for.
Considering it is in a tier 4 area I consider the deal not a deal.
Gambling with lives to get 50% off some none essential tat is not a good deal.
So you can steal all the good deals? No thanks
The more lockdowns, the more Aldi and Lidl lose (their little stores just can't do it) - either they adapt with local distribution centres or they will be next.
Yeah right. Like people are really going to be responsible. You need to save them from them selves
The store is open? If it was flouting rules the police will have shut it down by now. Anyway, as I say not here to debate about COVID. I went into town to do grocery and medicines shopping. I saw this store was open with a big queue outside and had 50% closing down sale plastered all over it. That's it. There are numerous other shops in the area still trading normally, some are closing down some have sales. (edited)
Aww, you saw straight through my plan!
Sadly yes. BHS, Top Shop, River Island, Marks & Spencer, H Samuel, to name a few have all closed in the high street (even before COVID) the rent is probably killing all these shops on top of the lockdowns etc. Sad to see, given it’s a high population commuter town.
I grew up in the area and have seen it go from a single open high street to the two shopping centres and now too many empty shop fronts.
The council had plans for a major overhaul of the centre. I’m not sure this will happen now. Sad times. (edited)
Was an experience
No worries nothing personally taken
It’s business rates too. Online stores don’t have to pay them per store and have lower costs
Aldi are now on Deliveroo and they always seem to be packing bags so it must be doing alright
You suddenly realised you weren't as grown up as you thought you were.
At home stay!
Exactly. I think.
But people never listen. Instead they have party
Apologies, I should have said 'guidlines' and 'common sense'.
I'm not personally attacking you, I hope you don't think I am. It just doesn't seem right.
Thought ALDI are delivering now?
I didn't realise that, and it's free? - but how does that work out with 2 trollies of shopping? I'm guessing they'd have to do a delivery 8 times? I am not sure this is meant for weekly shops, just a few items really (although they don't state otherwise)
I also read this -
'For any orders containing more than 35 items, Deliveroo may need to send two riders. You won't have to pay any more, but there may be a delay in receiving the second part of your order'
They are going to need 4 riders (min) to cover a family of 4's weekly shopping - how does it even work if we say buy 6 x 2l cola? weighs a tonne on a bike surely and would fill their box in 1 go?
Also there is definitely not enough riders in my area to cover such a service if it gets used a lot, 90% of our town doesn't even offer deliveroo, 11 in total.
Kneejerk reaction which will cost them dearly I think, especially as free for the customer! (is that normal?)
Thanks for the heads up though, I'll be getting a delivery from now on. (edited)
That statement is true, but B&M are the opposite and seem to be expanding across the country: bandmretail.com/med…all
They just don't like Slough Queensmere for whatever reason. Maybe they will move the store elsewhere.
There is another big B&M store in Farnham Road Slough This one is probably shutting down due to being too expensive to operate in the town centre.
It’s got a £4.50 charge on my app and a £20 minimum. I think it’s for people who may not otherwise bother going to Aldi it relies on the fact that for bigger order you’d save more than the delivery fee at Aldi and convenience
