Now I don't scrub and every couple of months leave it over night in a small container with thick bleach inside it. Comes out spotless next day. Current one going 4 years now without any issue.
Hope that makes sense (edited)
5 years on mine. One before was 2 1/2 when it failed.
On this one I lay it flat after using it, rather than keep it upright. Assume it lets the water fall away from the seals, rather than sitting.... seems to work
Have some heat
Not sure, anyone in this group seen this from other aldi stores?
What makes me want to switch is the poor reliability of sonicare, the seals fail just outside and often inside the guarantee period. Do Oral B brushes last any longer?
Went to my local ones and couldn't find there.
Can't agree with you more, same story here. I went through three of Sonic Care toothbrushes and it always ended as you described
Yes
I'm in month 27 of my current one, a new record. Getting a bit noisy but still working. Whenever I rinse this one, I cover the gap where it vibrates with my fingers to stop excessive amount of water getting in, and I only take the head off very occasionally to scrape it clean (no running water).
I tend to use the brush head when I change it. Turn on the toothbrush and let it do most of the hard work.
Mine has been going strong for about 5 years (well til the wife misplaced it a couple weeks ago!!)
Will have to give that a go
Do you rinse the gap / seal with water after each brush, or just leave it alone? And does it still build up all the dryer crud around the seal, or does a lot of that drain away too? (edited)
I rinse the whole thing briefly (no real effort), just to make sure there's no residual paste. I clean around the seal every few months, noting regular. The crud does still occur
