I think it includes the hopper. If you're wanting to put it under a cabinet, be aware you'll find it difficult to put the beans in and fill the water up without pulling it out.

I've got mine with the hopper so it's not under a cabinet and can fill the water using a Brita filter jug.

It's not hard but does require some effort to learn how to use it properly. Plenty of YouTube videos about. Well worth the effort though.

Dunno why they keep insisting this is Bean to Cup? Bean to cup is automated, this is an espresso machine with a grinder on it, there is a few manual steps before the bean gets anywhere near the cup!

After a suggestion on here (thread a few months ago) i just bought a refurbished (12 month warranty) Express Pro model off this site with 20% off for £409 paying £34 over 12 months with paypal credit.

    The seller has stunning reviews.

This particular model, the Sage Barista Express can be purchased for ~£240 until tomorrow with the 20% Black Friday discount.

    Hope this helps

Good price, though I'm also holding out for a discount on the stainless one (reckon I'd buy if it came down to £450 ish) purely as black wouldn't match anything else in the kitchen.

Equally I'm watching the stainless Barista Pro (would purchase at <£550, currently at £599) or a discount for a Bambino Plus/Smart Grinder Pro combo would work. Hopefully get something on one of these options in the next couple of weeks!

This was a refurbished one, barely used with no defects (they are really upfront showing pictures of all dents / marks etc) and the only parts missing were the manual, water filter and wand cleaning pin, so not too bad at all. 🏼Edit: but you are correct, each item does come without various accessories, but they do specify what they do and do not provide.

Just a side note, make sure you test it fully within the first 30 days, cause that's as long as the warranty lasts. I have one from them and have had no problems, but it appears to be a mixed bag.

This was an email sent today. I think a refurbished product has a slightly better warranty than used:

Thank you for your Certified Refurbished eBay purchase, from XS Items, the UK's e-tailer of choice for excess and refurbished stock. We value your custom and hope that you are happy with your order!

This product is backed by a 1 year RTB warranty provided by XS Items LTD, a Certified Refurbished Seller on eBay.

    1 Year RTB Warranty Details

This Return To Base (RTB) Warranty covers Manufacturing Defects only.

    It does not cover items that are returned and found to be not faulty, nor does it cover: (a) consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings that are designed to diminish over time, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (b) cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (c) damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire, liquid or other external cause; (d) damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone without the written permission of XS Items; (e) a Product that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of XS Items;

If any of the above is discovered when the item is returned, then the warranty claim will be void and the item will be returned to you. Additionally, please note that some of our refurbished units may have some non original parts and we will not accept returns for this reason.

Under the 1 year RTB warranty if the item is returned within 30 days of the original payment date we will refund the purchase price or offer a replacement, if available. After 30 days we will offer a repair. If a repair is uneconomic a replacement will be offered, if available. Should neither of these options be available at time of return we will offer a refund. Please note after 6 months the return postage cost/liability will lie with the buyer and a reasonable reduction will be made to cover the use of the item. If a return is arranged by the seller and found to be no fault found and the buyer requests a refund, a deduction for the cost of the return will be made.

Got my stainless one from Black Friday in 2019 for £364. Never seen it this low since but at this price it’s well worth it. I use it every day and much prefer my home coffees to Costa, Starbucks etc.

Had mine for 2 years, with a little practice makes an excellent latte with the right beans. Only issue we have had is the double espresso dispenser now doesn’t click off and have to manually stop the flow or it just keeps going.

    You can reprogram these buttons.
Maybe you set the double shot too long accidentally?
Or if it is broke, program the single to run longer for your double shots.
I always manual stop the flow anyway over a scale when on 36gs. (edited)

The best historical deals for this were about £400 with £100 cash-back on top. This was pre-pandemic though and this is the best rate since then. In that time RRP has increased by £50 and everything has got more expensive in general. They were £459 in Costco recently with a better warranty than Amazon.

There are a lot of these on Facebook marketplace if you want to take a punt locally.

Takes a week or two to get to grips with it but worth persevering. I've had mine over a year and absolutely love it - wouldn't be without one now.

New/different beans take a couple of shots before you get the best cup from it but other than the first week I got mine I've never made an undrinkable coffee.
