    I think non-returnable is under their approval system. It basically means you can't use it for 28 days and then return it like most other items. As long as you do not connect the Xbox online or install anything you should be able to return it as unwanted. As long as its unopened I don't see how they can refuse to accept the return under distance selling regs. (edited)

    I spoke with customer service on Friday and they said the returns should be in by Tuesday and if not to call again on Wednesday. Not great but should hopefully be sorted soon!

Or does it come in a normal retail package with 1 controller? My understanding is that the "Console + Controller" option would be for an extra controller.

    It changed to "(checked)" on Monday, that was it.

    Emails came from Very about dispatch. No text updates even though the original order came with a confirmation text.

    I have received a text from Very today to confirm they have received my return which is now being checked (my return has been with them since 26/12).

    I hope it should not be long now.

    Just spoken with very customer service. They have informed me that they have received the Xbox back (I know that they have as it has been with them since the 27th of December). They have advised me that it has been sent for inspection and to expect a refund by the 1st of February.

    Absolutely ridiculous I'm sure you'll agree. I asked to speak with a manager etc but I have been fobbed off. They did say that it could be in before the 1st of February depending on what the inspection says. I said that I assume it shouldn't take long as the Xbox wasn't opened.

    Update from myself, PayPal have closed my dispute and refunded me the full amount of £453.98. Can't knock PayPal for their customer service. If I had gone via very I'm sure i would still be waiting for my money back!

Same as you, our XBox was returned unopened in original packaging so no reason for an inspection as far as I'm concerned. Can't see why it's taken so long as they've had plenty of days since receiving the item to process and refund. I might check the website later and see if they are putting them back on sale as I'm sure they've had a lot of them back.


    I got the text message today to say that they have received the return and are currently checking it. Says that further updates can be found under my account online. However, my account still hasn't acknowledged that I've actually returned the Xbox. (edited)

Another phone call today, I also wish I'd taken a PayPal route now too. Just glad I hadn't paid in full at time of order and took the 3 months interest free, as I was planning on paying it off on January's payday.


    My parcels being investigated as its seems to havr gone missing at royal mail, mine was sent on 24th December.

    I had to give them a week to investigate but after chasing yesterday they said they are crediting my payment method back for the xbox

    Hi all,

    Very have refunded the full amount to my credit card today.
    They had texted me on Monday 10th to acknowledge they received my return and then I had a further message in the week to say they needed to check the return before they approved the refund.

    It's been a long wait - I thought a return would be quicker than selling the Xbox through friends but it really wasn't! First time I have made a return to Very.

    Fingers crossed I hope you all get your refunds sorted very soon

    for anyone interested, keep checking Smyths. If you go to the product page and choose a store close to you, wether they have stock or not, now click 'Change Store'. This will indicate stores with stock (Now that's the suck eggs part over with). The reason I say this is that Smyths are getting daily stocks in store and at different times of the day. Also these stocks don't show up on external stock checkers. I've manage to get 2 in the last 2 days for family members this way. (edited)

    My TV is only 1080P and I'm a casual gamer at best so the S fits perfectly for me. Don't get me wrong I can clearly see the X is better, I just don't need it.

    I don't drink either so alcohol-free Peroni Libera also works for me.

    You can get One X to save money and have 4k 😁


    And have Framerates and load speeds as well as not being able to play new AAA titles such as Xbox Flight sim now and games like Starfield, Hellblade 2 etc when released because the One X has no chance of running them, the only hope for last Gen is that MS are releasing a Streamed direct to console version for some titles, good news for this gen as it means they will not be held back having to also develop for last Gen.

    I find it a little suspicious how expensive bundles were available before console only deals.

    I plumped for an S due to lack of availability and am not regretting it at all. Fits my circumstances perfectly, so glad I didn't shell out the extra for an X.

    Heat for availability at least.

    I'm in two minds about one of these.The S makes more sense because I'm …I'm in two minds about one of these.The S makes more sense because I'm only a casual gamer, although most of my games are already on disc as I have the One S, but I really want to own MS Flight Sim.But, if I got the S then I would want to get rid of the One to offset that cost but then I would need to have a 4k player. Sure, I could keep the One for playing 4k discs but I don't like the way it works for that.I could get the X and sell the One to offset some of the cost.Oh I'm even confusing myself now.


    I bought an S a few weeks ago. I enjoyed it so much I've gone for this and will be letting the gf have the S. If you can afford it get the X just for the storage alone and the better processing power for a 4k tv thrown in.

    If people are trying to cancel their orders with Very it is best to give them a call as they can make sure the cancellation goes through. I did that when I was able to order mine from the MS store and within 48 hours had the payment refunded to my card.

    It's arrived now.

    So hopefully others will too.

    Originally ordered on the 14th in the afternoon, tried to cancel on the Friday, cancellation request was rejected on Monday, order went back to 'processing' and was stuck in limbo and Very had no idea what was going on when I contacted them.

    So I've gone through all that, so hopefully it'll turn out ok for everyone else

    Your scalpel should melt starting from 1510 degrees C (and up if it is hardened steel)
    My scalpels should melt in around 162 degrees C (human skin getting fully destroyed )
    What's your point of view on that?
