One of my favourite games of last gen and criminally overlooked.

No, not at all. I've never seen any Mad Max films, just went off word of mouth and positive reviews for the game. Loved every minute of it. Think I might have put 100 hours in. Easily one of my favourite Xbox games.

There is an option on the store to buy the game as a gift. On the online store you can find this option to the right of the cart icon or sometimes in a sub-menu under the 3 dots . When you gift a game you can select an e-mail address to send it to. I believe it will then e-mail a code to that mail address which can be redeemed against the game. I think you could use this method to e-mail the code to yourself now and you can then give your son the code on Christmas Day.

its not a bad game,but you will get very sick of hearing soldados and guerilla being said,and its attempts at being woke or whatever ,by throwing an obligatory token trans character in just because ,and not a an organic part of the story grates,but the graphics are good,the driving and shooting solid, the wingsuit mechanics are very poor on this one however

Luckily I played the entire kiryu yakuza saga from beginning to end after they got added to game pass, I played them one after the other and they were all very good games/series loved every minute of them!

Most definitely. Only discovered the game with the last sale and that's all I've played pretty much for the last fortnight. Completed it but can imagine playing through it again. Any other games similar to mad max that people could recommend? I've heard one of the batman game's has similar fight physics

When I bought the dlc a couple of years ago I played through the game a second time (rather than just play the dlc cold after several years' break). The level where you take control of his wife wouldn't load, so I had to load my original 2017 save game to progress any further. By which time I'd suffered AC burnout and never proceeded with the dlc. It's especially painful when you've put so many hours into it, collected every chest, done every fetch quest, only for the game to do this. Yep that exact level. I even emailed Ubi about it (obviously knowing I wouldn't get a response) was furious.

There's an MS rewards punch card for 4000 points if you spend £30. Might be worth it if you're buying a few games... It's probably worth about £3.50 (rough conservative estimate).
