Costco Membership - family use

Hello,

Wondering if my Dad can use my online costco account (when I buy one) with HIS payment card details to buy something delivered to my address at all?

Thanks.

Buyer-stipulated delivery address shouldn't be an issue according to Costco FAQ answer below but there is no indication of non-accountholder payment source being acceptable or not.

A cover-all observation related to a potential one-off purchase is that the payment cardholder should be the Costco accountholder, then the delivery address can be specified.

    aah, misread the comment.

Yes, of course you can do this.

Sign in with account. Add to basket. Add new billing and delivery address. Wait for delivery.

I've done this more than once. Signed in to my own account, bought something for my Mum, paid with her card and had it delivered to her

I used a family member’s account last year when there was a good deal on Lego. Didn’t have any issues. Used my own card too.

Why not just buy it with your card and your dad gives/transfers the money to you?

Most online sites, memberships etc don't care who pays, as long as they get their money.
The needed criteria of address and membership are valid for your case, so there should be no issue.
Why not just try it? What can you lose?

That must be specific to trade cards.

Costco were offering free cards recently for your "significant other".
But then I do have a trade card.
Although trade cards for Costco are probably the easiest thing to obtain. Certainly less difficult that a Totum, but more difficult than finding a day when there isn't a DFS sale.

I got hold of my energy company and asked them to insert a company / house name on the line prior to the address. From the moment it is on, it is backdated. So just print off your two most recent bills, have some personal ID, pay your fees, stand for a goofy photo.
First stop is the hot dog stand. (edited)

Same here. Asked friend to order stuff for me, he gave me access to his account, I updated address & card details, bought it, immediately deleted my address & card details, signed off and forgot his password.

    More than once, no issues.

But, invoice will be in his name & all info (dispatched, delayed, etc( will go to his emails). In case of returns he has to deal with it (money will be returned to the card stuff was paid with)
