    Hmm

Whilst the Miami University study found no difference in the hormone levels of meat-eaters and vegans, an earlier study published in 2000 showed that men eating a whole-food plant-based diet actually saw their testosterone levels enhanced.A British Journal of Cancer study, which tested 696 men (233 of whom were vegans) reported: “Vegans had 13% higher T [testosterone] concentration than meat-eaters and 8% higher than vegetarians"

Yeah I'm worried a load of vegans are going to force me to eat vegetables.

    That doesn't surprise me

I can't wait for the spelling show the week after that.

Just scanning through the comments. Why do people feel the need to come on every vegan post with their negative comments. You don't see vegans going on every dairy and meat post having a moan.

Not sure why some meat eaters feel the need to comment on all of the vegan deals. Bit weird from people that tend to demand people aren't chastised for their dietary choices. Thanks OP! Looks like fun. (edited)

Yep. Vegans don't comment on non-vegan deals but apparently veganism is the cult.

Why would people with no interest in veganism even bother to come here to comment? It's really lame. A free vegan show is great if you are interested in this. Thanks OP.

If you knew for a fact that there was going to be a flood , would you warn people to go to high ground?

I'm an omnivore but there's no doubt that a local sourced, whole food vegan diet is objectively better for the environment than any other diet.
Vegans who follow this local diet (I'd wager very few are able to) are quite factually "better" than us because of this.

Is it a cult if you know for a fact you're right?

People love to Vegan bash. I personally think it is commendable and wish I had the disciple to do it. Think I will go and get some ideas to at least reduce my meat intake.

To all that hasn't been before, I have been the last few times (it has always been free) and it's a big food festival basically. I recall there being a few speakers but not many. It's a great way to try new foods as a lot of stalls have samples, and you also normally get a free goody bag with quite a few vegan snacks and goodies

That’s really good to know. I’ve eaten meat and fish throughout the decades of my life and despite being married to a vegetarian for many years.
I decided to try going plant-based a couple of summers ago, just to see how it went, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the adventure. I didn’t think old male dogs could learn new tricks and adapt so easily! This will be another new discovery. Thank you.

I don't comment on carni articles and haven't for a good while. It's hard not to speak up about something that involves so much cruelty though. I really try as it can be counter-productive in my experience but it is difficult. Because it's on an industrial scale people seem to be able to detach from the cruelty but imagine if someone was being cruel to a person you knew and you didn't speak up about it. The animals don't have a voice so someone has to stick up for them so I can definitely understand vegans that do comment. I think meat eaters comment on vegan stuff simply because they find us annoying and a threat to their traditions or way of life.

The problem is people don't like being preached to, it's condescending and presumes those of us that eat animal products haven't made an informed decision. Also, you've compared animals to people. Unfortunately some animals are far more delicious than people and that's an evolutionary issue. Once pigs evolve not to produce bacon, they'll be far safer.

Yes... if you "know for a fact you are right", and you are being asked if you are in a cult, then you are almost certainly in a cult. Flat Earthers "know for a fact" that the Earth is flat. Scientologists "Know for a fact" that giving all their wealth to Scientology is right. Love has Won "knew for a fact" that what they did to Amy Carlson was right.

That's the thing with cults, they make you believe "for a fact" that cult members are right. You don't honestly thing they are all sat there thinking "Well, it's wrong, but I'm going to let them take everything from me and force me into marriage anyway" do you?

The only 'vegan' food that is locally sourced in supermarkets is fruit and veg, and that is only vegan the way water and air are vegan (and halal, lactose and gluten free etc)

Sorry but I can't even decipher your other statements , what is who right about ? where's the flood ? (edited)
