sorted byWon't order online from Ikea again because the service is terrible.
I did and I do not regret paying it. All my items were delivered to my place and left in the rooms where I wanted them to be. To each their own.
I wanted a bed, I wouldn't pay £40 delivery and then it went out of stock and now the price is £100 more.
Well it was £35 in 2018 so not sure when it was £20 but wasn't just before covid.
They hiked the prices of some of their products, but the already exorbitant delivery costs didn't rise so much
It is when you live near the store. Literally within a mile radius...
Use to be £25 for local delivery. (edited)
Heat added though as not often you get discounts on Ikea delivery.
So wait You spend 1k pounds and need pay for delivery
It's not that honest really. I mean you could buy thousands of pounds of stuff and pay £40 to have it delivered, the same as if someone else bought a sofa.
Amazon have free delivery on X spend. Like most companies. Regardless of a subscription.
Sorry, you are just wrong.
- Express Delivery 1-3 working days – £25 (was £50)**
Should still be only £25 for you unless you choseI’ll be making an order now though!
3 mile radius for me! They used to do the £25 local charge for me if I went in, bought the stuff and then arranged delivery, but I think they stopped doing it.
It's already started. I tested it a couple of days ago. (edited)
It used to be £35 for a Saturday or 'choose your day' delivery I think.
Same here feel your pain
When I placed the order and found it was £19 delivery I was quite happy.
That isn't even 3 gallons of fuel, it would cost me more than this on a round trip to my nearest Ikea.
But no delivery is free. It's in the price you pay! It's pretty easy. Can you have the goods at a cheaper price if u collect. If it's the same price...you paying for it. Obvious.
Need a new drawer for my Ikea wardrobe but didn't buy one yet, as the product is 15 pounds and delivery was 40. so it's been missing for about six months! This makes it more reasonable!
Company I work for went from charging for delivery to doing “free” delivery.
we charged 12.50 per seat for delivery, the day we went free delivery the price of every product went up 3-4x the price of the delivery charge.
whether it’s included in the price or “free” you are paying for it. The companies charging for it are just honest about how much it’s costing you
I usually just compare all the prices and buy the cheapest, of product + delivery price and to be fair it’s usually the ones with free delivery that are the cheapest.
What really makes me angry is those companies that have started charging for click and collect, which is ridiculous.
Yer that’s just daft tbh
Yes, the bed. And yes, I understand that they had a lot more business because everyone was buying furniture during lockdowns and so they realised they could get £100 more for the same bed. That's exactly what I was saying.
I have bought two different sized Ottoman beds. Let me knbiw if there are any better out there - IKEA offers 365 days return policy.
