Never had problem with UPS. Not the cheapest but good for high value items. Used to like DPD too but after this week - no more for me.

I've mainly used the site for sending high value items like laptops, where the insurance at £8 for £700 cover (something like that) is far cheaper than any other site. The need to have everything in a box for UPS and not with plastic wrap or anything non-cardboard round it is a pain though.

Never using ups again after they measured and weighed my parcel wrong to the point it was nearly double the weight then tried charging me over £60 for delivery after they delivered the item had to send pictures and dimensions proof over to them to prove they got it wrong

Depending on the size and weight you can get it sent via ups to someone's address providing you drop it off at a collection point for £6 Inc vat on upstoday

I'm not sure you can get £6 as that's probably before Vat, I'm still using shutl for dpd or ups as I can't find any cheaper.

Parcelforce website is managed by Parcels2Go so it's probably intentional.

The 20% off makes them cheaper after insurance. It works as they basically buy slots on empty Van's is my understanding. The same as how places like mobile phones direct undercut most actual mobile phone providers

thanks, ive got a laptop to send but will also look to see how much cheaper parcel monkey is

I can't understand that when going through Parcelmonkey or Parcels 2 Go using Parcelforce option always works out a lot cheaper? About time they sack the management team and bring in someone who makes them competitive again!

UPS next day Up To 5 kg via Drop Off - £4.49 (exc VAT) at
Posted 22nd MayPosted 22nd May
Found a great price for express shipping on Parcel2Go. Much cheaper than the post office and other comparison websites. UPS are one of the best couriers around!

If using ebay and send items over 2kg with £40+ value look at ebay shutl via ups.

Not if using ebay shutl i find and need any sort of cover just compared a ps2 i just booked would be £9.17 with parcel2go compared to £7.79 with ebay shutl both with same cover and courier ups next day.

What I found out was the cover if required cost even twice less for total spent if you go directly to the individual courier.

ups = I wouldnt bother 3 days for 24 hr delivery

My friend @redbullmaster and I have used Pacel2Go for years. Always the cheapest. (y)

Disagree, I weigh up the value of the item vs the cost of the added insurance vs the chance of it being lost stolen or damaged and it's rarely worth it for me.

I did this 2 weeks ago, it was ment to be Next Day, it took 7 days!!! the item missed the person who was travelling and who needed it

Manufacturing packaging is only good enough to be delivered via pallets or ses container. It's not suitable to go on the back of a van where a parcel up to 70kg can be placed on top of it.

I like ups when I use there standard service to collect a large parcel the guy turns up with a trolley. Also I think their design of vans are by far better for delivering parcels.

Parcelforce direct payments are also taken by parcel2go

I've had no big issues with Hermes. Also Royal Mail have lost around 6 of my parcels/large letters, however have always refunded me the price of my item (£20 or under) and postage cost... I make a claim online and have a cheque a week or two later.

Hermes on the news last night - biggest carrier in europe so naturally will have more problems but very cynical upping the prices when they are already making a fortune - (they will probably just make the usual Brexit excuse as well) just pure greed especially the way they treat their delivery people who have to use their own vehicles which is a helluva cost to start with but then we all want cheap postage and once they corner the market business practice is such that the prices go up to screw the wee man! ;(

...EE...but thank you.

Thing is, certain hubs of certain couriers are diligent, if they know you (for instance) & if a parcel happens to pass through their hub, the Hermes local to me sucks @ss & due to my (justified) complaints rather than "bend over & take it " expectations they now go all out to cause MORE problems. At least when it happens the seller gets to see the dark side of this shi-ite show of a courier & its 95% "DNGAF" employees. Hope you got onto better things Darkwaxer.

I have to agree but its the same with almost every company in the UK now. As Dilbert says "Management = Natures way of removing morons from the productive cycle" (shock)

I will do that in future, just to be on the safe side

I always check the address on Paypal to be sure

I see. I only every post items to the address as supplied on the postage slip that you can print directly from eBay, once a buyer has paid by paypal. So I should be safe then

As long as it was posted to the address supplied by Paypal with the payment YES as that is what little cover is offered under the MBG.......problem is that sellers sometimes post to an address other than that supplied by Paypal...... If they did everything correctly then they should raise the case with the FSA who regulate Paypal.....they would have been unable to claim for loss from Royal Mail for using the wrong service

In your post above you said... eBay only require signed for delivery for goods valued over £750....below that you only require proof of delivery to an address.......I have been selling for over 20 years on eBay & am a member of the community member advice panel....for example recorded delivery can be signed for by anyone at the address....or a neighbour......only SD requires signature of the recipient so the person who sold the phone in a post on this thread, and sent it signed for, should have been able to get their money back from paypal? And yet they couldnt? Isnt that a bit odd?

m4rmite Cheaper than tnt and you still get to use tnt as the courier, for small stuff. I do believe it's prepay, ie load money onto your account prior, heard about this site today

I remember when I worked for TNT, an office was sending a document from London to Singapore, at a cost of £90!! It was next-day, mind. Not economical for residential deliveries whatsoever

UPS is cheaper even without discount ...

Hah! I know that pain. For us I think it would be more cost effective to just buy the few songs they actually listen to.

Hahahaha they've chosen some great photos. Fair play to the Royal Mail designer who won that dare.

Yeah they would. But then you'll receive them used. Upto you I guess but seems a bit pointless?

You're paying for the frame and presentation with this set. If you just want the stamps try this (15 different first class stamps for about £11)

Thanks. It is working for me.

We have a deal with our neighbours that when one of us is out or away we put each other’s bins out. He didn’t know about the delivery as the card went through our door.

I'm currently waiting for a parcel thats been out for delivery for e days... And one got lost end of January.. Signed as delivered in their main depot and I had to proof it wasn't delivered to me

Our local My Herpes depot is staffed by thugs who seem to have a criminal operation going on.

You don't always know though.I recently purchased something from an Ebay seller and the postage method stated Royal Mail 2nd class and it arrived via Hermes. it didn't bother me but i know some people do avoid Hermes.

I would rather pay the extra to have Royal Mail, Parcel Force, or DPD to deliver it, Hermes dump and run.. I have had to many bad experiences from Hermes, and will no longer purchase an item from the seller if the courier is Hermes

Heat for the photo!!! (lol)

schnide (flirt)

Think I'll get my next letter it's own seat on Ryanair. And how come many items are are posted half way around the world for less than a pound (and that includes the product) eg. ?

It's not dominating the market if you are being forced to deliver all letters at a deficit. Royal Mail would rather turn around and refuse to deliver TNT and UK Mail's letters but they are legally bound to do so. As another poster mentioned, the parcel department now subsidises the letter side of the business as it is leaking money. There is a reason the share price has tanked since privatisation.

All they require is a stronger concentration of perfume and then you have a truly killer product. In the meantime, used in conjunction with the corresponding shower gels will help to boost the longevity.

I bought the three 30ml gift pack at Christmas when it was on offer. I like all of them. Longevity is only average but the scent is good.

Leave them to it I say and then there will be less competition/stampede when there's an offer on for the ones who can see what a great buy they are 😜

Ironically, if you look at my previous Dermot O'Leary postings from last month, you'll see the gift sets were 75% off, but really hard to come by. I was getting ludicrous sub zero scores purely because of the DOL association! It just proves how brainwashed many people are favouring packaging over content! Some people I'm afraid can't see a bargain even if one is put in front of them!

Thank you I will try those too. Great price too. Great find buddy.
