I literally just completed one yesterday on this actual ship (their Nordic Fjords cruise) and I would say it is a good entry point for sure. If you treat it like an upend version of a holiday camp is the best way I could describe it. The meals in the main restaurants were great and the buffet was really good. The pools are varied and although not to my taste, there was a lot of activities throughout the ship across the day. My room was meticulous and the crew were really helpful and friendly. Although tea, coffee, fruit juice and water are free if you can find a deal with a drinks package I would recommend it for sure. Excursions cost a bomb though so recommend arranging yourself if possible.

Avoid Avoid Avoid! I went on this same cruise ship last year and it was terrible! Please check out the tripadvisor reviews before booking. I am in my 30's and I've been on almost 10 cruises and this has been the worst I've been on!! Avoid MSC at all costs or MSQ as its now being known as due to all the queues on board! We spent over 16 hours of our holidays in queue's for guest services. We spent over 2 hours a day queuing for breakfast / lunch and dinner.

We complained multiple times on board and they said sorry we can't help you or do anything, ring MSC Customer service when you get home. We rang them and they told us to write an email...sent over an email and got a standard response just blaming covid for bad service...my email wasn't even acknowledged. (edited)

agree , msc are the ryanair of cruise lines.....costa are the worst at sea followed by msc, both are down at the bottom of the ratings then a huge gap to the rest.

£300 for 7 nights, where is it available for this price? I may have a look

Vacations2go 👌prices might have changed let me check but genuinely so cheap. Surely even if it's a poor cruise it's still worth that?

Hmm this is interesting. I've done plenty of cruises... Just off Symphony of the Seas and I know this will be absolutely nothing like it but I was considering MSC Opera. Now.... I know they are very very VERY different but I'm getting the Opera for £300 for 7 nights. Is it really that bad that it's not worth £45pp per night?

Been 3 times with MSC, twice on the Opera, smaller ship with excellent staff, 1 on Davina much bigger again staff excellent. Just booked this cruise for £519 premium AI with balcony. If you’re only paying a small amount for a cruise then lower your expectations, if you want 5star then pay 5times this amount. A holiday is what you make it, chill, relax and e

MSC are not too bad at all- this price is amazing, p&o are my personal favourite but for sure MSC would be fine

Not many cruises are-unless you pay extra. This is still an amazing deal (edited)

Recently I went with Princess and you could do that at the port, for a fee - can you do it at the port with MSC or do they insist on you getting one done at a pharmacy etc? Thanks

MSC accept a fit to fly antigen test at home (not NHS).
You just do the test at home upload a photo of the result and a doctor sends you a certificate simple and costs around £11.
Not sure if they will offer at port for a fee but it will not be £11 so best to do your own.

MSC do also require you to show proof of insurance with covid protection, if you don't have this you can purchase at port.

Thanks so much!!! I've been looking for cruise deals to no avail. Not for right now, but their entire website could come in handy for the near future. Cruise Nation has never come up in any of my searches :/ . Thanks so much! (edited)

Got off this ship a week ago. No complaints at all. 4th MSC cruise, done lots of other cruise lines to compare to. A lot of the negative reviews are from people who cruised when all cruise lines were suffering problems caused by Covid or they are people expecting a luxury cruise experience but for a budget price. Very good value for what you get. Go for it, it's fab

We had a similar experience with this company..1st cruise with them December 2017. We had to complain about a lot of things. Buffet food could have been much better.. the on board entertainment was good and the other facilities too.

Well it would've been bad due to Covid. All cruises had the same long queues, and quite right too. I'd rather queue than my or our my family's health to be compromised.

A bit racist, lumping a whole nation into a cruise experience. Our country and many others can be just as rude tbh. My friend said Royal Carribbean were just as bad. She was on 2 last year.

I've booked with them a few times. Note that the price you pay is usually higher than in the list as they don't include the port fees. They will call you back and give you the final price, this is when you notice it is higher than expected. Can't remember how much it adds, maybe 10-15% :/
