A beachfront address and a great pool make this place a popular choice.

As the name suggests, this beachfront complex looks more like a mini village than a hotel. The sugarcube apartments are surrounded by landscaped gardens, with a big pool in the heart of it all.

The promenade – edged with shops, bars and restaurants – is just a short walk away. And you’re about a 10-minute walk from the famous Tombs of the Kings.

Just so you know, you may find that if you’re travelling outside of peak holiday periods, some facilities, both in your hotel and resort, may not be available and entertainment may be more low-key. Hoteliers may remove facilities at certain times due to low demand. These can include restaurants or bars and can be sudden, implemented by hotels on the spot without any prior notice.

  • Pools
The pool’s a good size and has a section for children. There’s a bridge crossing it that will take you to the pool bar, which serves cocktails, ice-creams and snacks throughout the day.
The hotel’s gardens stretch along the beachfront, and there are loungers set up for quieter sunbathing sessions. Inside, there’s a quiet pool with a sauna* and whirlpool bath*.

  • Food & Drink
The main restaurant is all about big international spreads, which are often themed. It comes with sea views, too. The pool bar is a taverna-style venue specialising in Greek and Cypriot flavours. An à la carte restaurant opens up in the evenings.

  • Entertainment
The hotel lays on live entertainment in the form of music, folklore shows, karaoke and quizzes. It’s held by the pool in summer and moves to the lobby bar in winter.
The bar has a sea-facing terrace, which is a nice spot for cocktails, plus there’s free Wi-Fi and – for the sports fans – TVs showing the big matches.

  • Sports & Activities
The sports list is vast and includes tennis and basketball. There’s archery and darts, too. The hotel also rents bikes*, which are handy for exploring.

  • Health & Beauty
There’s an air-conditioned gym for over-18s, with machines including bikes and treadmills. There’s a sauna* and whirlpool bath* too, and you can book a massage*.

  • Facility Summary
The figure of 8 pool is suitable for all the family. Tucked in the corner is a mushroom water fountain for the kids and lined on the terrace are sunbeds with parasols. Romios pool bar and tavern is just a couple of metres from the sea, so you'll have beautiful views and a cool breeze while enjoying local cuisine.

  • Rooms
Studios and apartments here have all been recently refurbished and come complete with a lounge and kitchenette, air-conditioning and a balcony or terrace. For a little bit more, you can go with a studio or apartment with a limited sea view, or even move up to our spacious superior studios and apartments complete with a sea view.

I also stayed with the kids a few years ago. Again, a great hotel. I was also only B&B. The breakfast was great. And loads of places to eat close by. Not too expensive. There is a McDonald's also close by if that's for you. Visited with the kids, and was nice to have aircon inside. (edited)

Once you factor in the price of meals, the overall cost will be a multiple of this.

Stayed there in October and bloody loved it. We only had breakfast there which was good but so many nice places to eat around. Rooms were really nice

    Price increased to £628

Says call to book, so not bookable online.
Gives them a chance to hard sell extras and upgrades.
