Have this one really decent for the price (paid £300). The usual applies on reducing the bills on these, get a decent liner for the ground and insulate the inside of the inflatable lid with some further lining. I only use mine on the weekend and it heats up about 2 Deg for every hour on. If you are going from around 19 Deg ambient then about 9 hours heating. Drop it down overnight to around 27 with the lid on mine doesn't drop below this temp and I just boost it again the next day a few hours before use. Turn it off again on a Sunday until next use. I've not noticed a huge increase in bills since I've had it.

Electric bills will be insane for running a tub these days.

It's around £6 a day, so definitely not cheap!

Have been tempted to get one of these. Is my maths correct that it's circa £100 extra p/m on bills? (11.9*0.29×30)

Brilliant buy! For those moaning about bills.. meh!! You can get products including covers which help insulate it so it only drops by 3-4 over night!

Yes agree. I have an inflatable disc which covers the top and then the full clip on cover on top of that. I packed mine away yesterday as have an above ground pool for the summer. It was 38 degrees a few days ago and I turned off the heater. It was down to 33 degrees 2 days after having no heat.
The fact it's inflatable helps massively insulate it. Also I bought polystyrene sheets to go underneath which helps stop heat escaping into the ground.
All winter it was set to 20 degrees and when my wife wanted to use it she'd turn it up to 38. Keeping it at 20 degrees all winter hardly used any power.

As I've said in other posts these are not cheap to run but what entertainment is these days? Mine cost me £50 from about 20/4 to 20/5 so not the warmest days. This is the bigger 5 person one.

Not cheap but not ridiculous given I've just got back from holiday in Somerset where 4 ice creams for the family is nearly £20, its all relative.

Charge an EV overnight on Octopus Go @7.5p/KW, get a V2L adapter if the car supports it and plug in the tubs heater.
    😁

25% off at the start of the year, now 1/3 off, by the time all these retailers have surplus stock at the end of the year and further rises to the energy cap they’ll be hard pushed to give them away!

Used a proper hot tub many times, even before they were a thing here. The best experience has always been the ones after a long days skiing outside the chalet. I was surprised when they became so popular in summer, always thought they were really meant to be used in colder weather. Thats when I book a stay with hot tub here in the UK, to warm the cold bones.
Never intended on getting one at home and with leccy prices going even higher in October I think many will be giving these up as friends who do have proper ones inside an out house keep it heated low 24/7 so it can be ready quickly when they need it.
