I took it to Halfords afterwards who were excellent and worked out what the problem was, but I was very lucky that ATS didn't cause major damage to my AC system. You get what you pay for...
Didn't bother with the antibac though, I believe that's just a can of spray in the cabin lol. (edited)
Guy at the counter was overly aggressively nice, like forced to smile nice. Very odd
The mechanic said it passed the leak test, but I'm not convinced it did as he started going on about how this refrigerant doesn't last long and hopefully it lasts the summer. Needless to say it lasted 2 days before it stopped working, at least I could see the where the refrigerant leaked by using a UV torch (bottom of the condenser was glowing green).
When the car is stationary and the vacuum test is carried out the car might be fine but once it moves, vibrations could induce small movements between pipes and seals that are large enough for small amounts of gas to escape over time. Hence why the system could potentially pass a leak test but still leak. With something like a fridge, its not in motion and is stationary, and also the environment it's kept in is a bit different to that of a car so the wear and tear rates will be considerably different.
