7000 BTU is weak unless it's a very small bedroom.
I'd go at least 8500 BTU for a standard bed room.
for a standard living room,12000 BTU or more. (edited)

Same experience here. 9000 was about right for my bedroom but would only be good for a small front room.

I have this exact model and BTU. Ignore the apparent aircon elitists, it's fine.

We move it from the living room to the bedroom, no problems.

If we were in a tropical country, sure, get a top spec one. But for the 1 or 2 weeks of 52, this is absolutely fine.

I was very thankful for it during the 40°+ heat we had. (edited)

What temps did it cool to during that heatwave?

    Thanks.

It was a pricing error, not honoured in most cases, so is not a like-for-like comparison.

Very weak system. Get a Delonghi EX100 which is the only A++ rated aircon. It has a 10000 BTU capacity but consumes only 650Watts!! (edited)

A BTU of less than 5000 will probably be okay for most people in London then...

Great price. I paid about £240 for similar spec a few years ago.... shame I can't afford to turn the damned thing on with energy prices being what they are

    Me again...

The blurb says Power 765 watts.

Then later it says Max Cool: 7000Btu.

The Internet says that 7000 Btu equals 2051.5 watts-hour

    7000 Btu to Watt-hours.

    Conversely 765 watts is 2610.29 Btu/hour which is not 7000 Btu/hour.

    Another source
    BTU Calculator
    says:

    What is a BTU?
The British Thermal Unit, or BTU, is an energy unit. It is approximately the energy needed to heat one pound of water by 1 degree Fahrenheit. 1 BTU = 1,055 joules, 252 calories, 0.293 watt-hours, or the energy released by burning one match. 1 watt is approximately 3.412 BTU per hour.

For an entire floor of 15 square meters with 3 meter high ceilings and 4 people in it you need cooling power of: 7,086 BTU or 2,077 Watts

(The 15 meters squared comes from a mid value of their quoted "Suitable Using Space: 10-15㎡").

2077 is not the same as 765, is it.

The discrepancy means I do not trust anything about this offer at all, so just be careful if buying this. (edited)

one is cooling capacity and one is power consumption.

    don't confuse the two.

Depends on the size of the room. I have an open plan kitchen and living room which is not massive, but a 9,000 BTU struggled to cool the entire room so I had to go up to 12,000.

This will struggle if you're planning on getting it for any future heatwaves. I got a 12,000BTU last year and only just made a difference. That was in a medium bedroom.
