Turkey PSN account required, games may be played from a UK account after downloading.

UPDATE: Note that you can no longer add a new CryptoPay virtual visa card to a new PSN account or re-add an existing card to an existing PSN account, however the payment method remains working where your card is ALREADY TIED to a PSN account. DO NOT unlink your card, or your fun (i.e. getting games on the cheap from India or Turkey) is over.

Note that it remains possible to add new crypto cards to new PSN accounts and to re-add cards to existing accounts etc.

I previously bought from Turkey using a virtual Revolut card. Can I no longer do this?
    copperspock's avatar
Revolut hasn't worked for a good while now unfortunately.
This post will tell you the current working cards:

No chance this will be a day one release on PS Plus Extra/Premium? Would be a statement of intent for the service.

More chance of Lord Lucan turning up riding horseback on Shergar

Whats the drawback of ordering from the Turkish store?

I vaguely remember reading something along the lines when Gran Turismo came out that you couldn't get some dlc or bonus content.

This is likely to be a one player game so maybe no issues unless they release dlc?
    BluesFanUK's avatar
Entirely dependent on the CUSA code. Check the URL on the PS store, if the end code matches on both UK and Turkey stores then you can buy DLC on either store and your saves will work regardless of where you buy it from.

Could you create this account, crack on with cheap buys etc, and other people use it when you are not, maybe splitting costs with them??
    Pimpson's avatar
I do exactly that. My friend plays the games on the Turkish account. I've set my PS5 as the primary console on my Turkish account so I can download the games and play on my UK account.

Will this be out on PC also or is it a PlayStation exclusive?
    Spinal2k's avatar
Probably in 2 or 3 years

Anyone know if I buy the PS5 version will my mate that I game-share with be able to play it on his PS4?
    johnyslats's avatar
Yes. The PS5 standard edition will give you access to both the PS4 and PS5 versions from your library (edited)

I've got the blue Crypto.com card and I've gone to top it up and it's making me pay a 1% fee, is that normal? I swear when I've done this in the past I've had no charge when transferring money from my bank account. (edited)
    Ian_D123's avatar
Yep, this 1% fee came in a few weeks back. Not a deal breaker for me.

FYI the game is playable tonight from 9pm
  9. Ian_D123's avatar
I bought GT7 from there. Was loads cheaper. Only downside, unable to sell if the game is pants (and in GT7's case, it was.)
    mrjrdmc's avatar
While I'm pretty sure this game is going to be good, Horizon Forbidden West only jst released another big performance mode patch, I can't help but think I played an inferior version of a game I payed full whack for, eats at my soul. I think it always pays to wait
  10. 72jarsofcapers's avatar
This is so dodgy. Do the people doing this think this game is only worth £29? The amount of time, talent and money gone into this project.

RIP big budget single player games. I for one *do not* welcome our new lootbox overlords.
    Dj_Yoda's avatar
What's the difference in waiting until its £30 or even worse buying it second hand
  11. TankDeal's avatar
    Waiting for physical deals.
  12. swanlake's avatar
Heat Joey. Seeing that physical is £59.99 for PS5. Nearly half price for Turkey store.
  13. darkmetal's avatar
I’ve read all the links posted and I’m confused as hell as to whether I can get this as i would need to create both a Turkish PSN account and sign up for a new crypto account lol…OP says it doesn’t work but does work
    Pimpson's avatar
Cryptopay card doesn't work any more but crypto.com card does.
  14. misiokicio's avatar
good deal, although games like this, prefer just paying for physical copy, finish the game and sell for a tenner less
  15. Dickytwo's avatar
I'm probably in the minority thinking this, but it seems like an ongoing battle trying to keep up with all the new cards you have to get to keep the Turkey thing going, with Sony clamping down every now and then.
Plus I'm not totally comfortable with signing up with all these different crypto card companies. I assume they need copies of photo ID etc?
Not saying this is a bad deal, but it looks like hard work.
    johnboylan12's avatar
Get a real job if you think entering your name and address into a web form is hard work.

This may be a dumb question but I have not done this before- Do I need create a new psn account for turkey or can I just use vpn to buy on my uk psn?
    anthony_campbell1's avatar
New to this also - is it a necessity to use this CryptoPay card or can I just create a Turkish PSN account and then purchase through PayPal/debit card?
  24. consolegamer's avatar
Aren't there fees for getting one of these crypto cards? Such a shame that it doesn't work with revolut anymore!
    hughrocksyo's avatar

    Replying to

Is this 1% fee new? This is the first time Crypto.com has charged me for topping up with my debit card, I just checked all previous transactions and it was free.

EDIT: yes it's new currency.com/cry…fee (edited)

  26. lfcfooty71's avatar
    Cheers as always joey
  27. PaulBrindle's avatar
So to get this you set up a turkish account using a fake turkish address im guessing? Then you can use your normal debit card to purchase it? Or do you need to use a different card than the one thats linked to your normal uk account?

Wait so is cryptopay the one that’s working or crypto.com?
    deleted449189's avatar

If you have a Cryptopay card already linked, it may work.

If you are a new user, you’ll need Crypto.com card.

Turkish Lira is highly volatile, at the moment it is weak
  35. Phil_Blake's avatar
    Crumbs. That's a price.
    Nice
  36. Moaz_Nasr's avatar
Why pre-order? The online store isn't going anywhere, maybe wait till you know the game is actually gonna be any good?
    deleted449189's avatar
    Author
It’s this price point because the Turkish Lira has crashed, no guarantee it will be this price point in Nov.
  37. ventis86's avatar
Cheers as ever Joey. Tackling the cost of living crisis one game at a time. Bloomin hot in Akara though.

Ok mighty tempted to make a turkey account....
But already have Indonesia which kinda is not that great anymore when it comes to sales
  39. martyn.colclough's avatar
When is the game due for release?
    martyn.colclough's avatar
Sorry just found it on another post:

Pre-order, Due for release on 09 November 2022.

Seems my previous working Crypto.com card is no longer working on the turkish account. Anyone else getting the same?
    chromosome17's avatar
Didn't this happen before and you just had to buy the credit on Turkey psn then use the credit to buy the game?
