Virgin media broadband retention deal

Contract was coming to an end- M100 for £17pm. Went through WhatsApp chat and their offer wasn’t any good so terminated my contract. Next day got a call back offering M200 for £20pm. Pretty decent I thought incase anyone else is trying to get a broadband only offer.

020 3743 6951 is number to connect to Virgin media outbound team which'll give you the best offers. I got a text from VM saying they had a bespoke offer of M100 for £16 pm for 18 months. Rang the number and they renewed the contract at that price.

    Give it a go people

Thank you for this number. I cancelled 3 weeks ago, they said best they could do was £26pm for M200. I declined and waited for a call as in past years. After 3 weeks still no call so I tried this number. Offered me M200 at £21pm, I have seen posts of people getting better offers but I am happy with that for next 18 months.

I'm paying £21 for their 350Mb so, not that great a deal, unfortunately.

I pay 23 for 350Mb, some TV and calls I won't use thrown in but kind of irrelevant.

I did the same cancelling but have not received a call. I'm gutted as i've got 2 weeks to get a deal. What to do please help? Best they're offering was M100 for £19 pm and that includes my current Volt add-on. If i cancel my Volt for any reason, the speeds will go down to 50mb which is rubbish. (edited)

Got 100mb for £16 here, disconnected over WhatsApp 10 days ago, text received yesterday with the offer. Happy with that their previous offer was 200mb for £50

I’ve been on WhatsApp chat with them. My deal coming to an end is 100mb BB and 5gb sim on the oomph bundle thing at £20 per month (although it has mysteriously gone up to £21.74 and none of the loyalty has expired).

Best they could do was 10gb sim and100mb BB which would work out at £27. I will go through the disconnect farce and wait for a call back. (edited)

You will most likely never get a good enough deal through wattsapp or their disconnections team. It's always the case that the best offers are released when you hand in your notice, wait days if not weeks for them to contact you.

Once you hand in your notice, wait for their call or text. If you don't receive it, ring the above number directly to the outbound team. They have the authority to give you the best offers.

Missed a couple of calls from them this morning but they phoned again and have agreed on 100mb BB and 5GB sim for £17 per month on an 18 month contract.

Bloke on the phone sounded exhausted from phoning round to all the disconnections bless him! (edited)

    ...just got the call, £18

Managed to get £14 for 100mb. Did offer me 350mb for £24. But don’t need the extra speed as get an additional 100mb with volt benefit.

Thanks for the info I have been thinking about giving them a ring to see if they will improve on what I am paying so worth a try.

...just served notice on my 100Mbps @ £23.95 contract and retention offered me the same for £25, so politely declined

Some good prices here. Paying £43pm for M500 and was looking at cutting back when my contract is up on 18 September, but don't think I could go below M200. Not long until negotiations start... When I signed up only Virgin and BT could offer those speeds in my area, hence the high cost. I did get a bill credit though, lowering the monthly from that £43.

I'd be happy with M200 for £25pm, never mind M350 for the £24pm above! (edited)
