Thank you for listing that. Drives me nuts when something just says "Ryzen 7", there's a lot of Ryzen 7s across several generations with very different performance.

I just bought the Amazon warehouse version of this for 1,050. It came today and is in perfect condition

It's my first ever high end PC with a DGPU, first impressions is that it is amazingly well built, the GPU is massive and the RGB especially on the CPU cooler is really understated and "professional".

It came with windows 11, which I'm not a fan of so I'll be moving down to windows 10.
It came with an empty HDD slot with a power cable routed to it, but weirdly no SATA cable.

I really won the Amazon lottery with this one, it was meant to be in "acceptable" quality with large scratches. But from what I see it's perfect.

I can't really give performance numbers since it came only about 1½ hours ago. But I'm happy to be saving about 300, which I'll definitely put towards the QHD 34" ultrawide gaming monitor from awd-it

Just a heads up, these Omen builds have serious overheating problems, the airflow in this case is awful. A friend of mine had to return his because it would overheat regularly.

I mean, as someone said heating up the room is kind of the point, it's if no hot air is getting out you need to worry lol

I'm not surprised at the reports of overheating. These cheaper glass panel cases tend to have poor ventilation. The main reason I don't upgrade to the 3080 and 5800x is because the extra heat would be a problem in my small box configuration. Any performance gain will come at the cost of thermal throttling.

Mine was delivered DOA - Do Amazon swap in this case - or is it just a refund ?

Hi - sorry for late reply ! The replacement machine is fine. Glad I didn't take the extra warranty from amazon for £149 as HP have given me 3 years for £48 - on a collect and return repair offer.

Plays most of the games I have thrown at it absolutely fine - yes fan is noisy - I dded extra ram to take it from 16gb to 32 gb - took me a while to get the machine run the ram at full speed - had to go into bios - but all good now.

The lighting on the machine is subtle but nice.

    Overall very pleased with it.

    Good price for a Ryzen 7 with a 3080 I think

Seems a good price for the specs and machine what are people opinions on this? The few reviews I saw on amazon seem positive.

    For some potential probs;
I found the 3080 a bit meh, the memory hits 110 gaming and is limited to 100% power.
You also cant control the fan curves.

The case is quite narrow so your very limited on GPU options if you wanted to upggrade in the future.

I just bought mine for the GPU tho so cant comment further. Still using the GPU with water cooling, did >12months of mining so they seem reliable.

Pretty good deal, building a PC with comparable specs would cost a bit more.

I recommend buying 3 years warranty (it's not expensive), if not already included.

I was looking at this about a week ago on Amazon as I wanted a system with a 3080 in in, and it was £1799 at the time. They tend to retail on HP's website and other 3rd party sites for nearer £2K. So £1333.95 is pretty good in my opinion.
Some YouTube videos I've seen suggest that the thermals aren't great on Omen PCs.
In the end, I decided to upgrade my current Legion T5 with a 3080 10GB and new 850w PSU. A bit more hassle than buying a new pre-built such as this, but a tad cheaper, all in.

Someone commenting on the reviews about this only having a 500W PSU which is not easily replaced. Not sure if that is true but that would be a problem being only 500W with the 3080 card no?

The review that said it came with a 500w PSU was for a PC with a 3060. Very says this model comes with an 800w Gold PSU.
