Been waiting for this phone to drop below £300 in the UK, direct from a retailer (and not a smaller company that may have refurbished models)
However, if you don't mind the slightly longer delivery (1 week), you can get it for 299Euro.

I just purchased it with Amazon handling the conversion, and including standard postage it came to £264.82.

It will come with a Euro style plug, but if you have an existing UK charger I'm sure you can just use that.

Also, it does state it is sold and dispatched by Amazon.

    Got it months back and sold it. Giant chunky plastic brick.
    Battery not great, my old Huawei P30 had a better battery and better camera. I now have the P30 Pro.

    P30 Pro is stuck on what.... android 10. Also this Samsunsng has a far faster chipset, better battery, better build, even though it's plastic, and more importantly it isn't 3 years old and will recieve updates for years to come.

    Damn. I was told early in the week it would hit Amazon Ger at 230 Pounds. Still a good price considering the crapy chinese phones that get posted constantly.

    I wonder if they will follow suit soon with the a33. (edited)

    I don't why you keep bashing so called 'crappy' Chinese phones.
    I've had many different types of phones and plenty from Samsung and price v spec they are good value and in many cases much better than the equivalent Samsung at the same price.
    It seems you have either never actually owned the devices you constantly trash or you had a bad experience with one in the past.
    Chinese phones have come on leaps and bounds in the past few years, both quality, spec, software and support wise.

    Literally one of the best bangs for your buck smartphone released in the past couple of years.
    Competitive chipset.
    Fantastic OLED screen.
    Great build quality considering it's plastic.
    Clean OS. Only a few social media apps by default that can be removed.
    A decent enough camera that you can be assured is better than every single Chinese Xiaomi or Redmi phone.
    FIVE YEARS of security updates, and FOUR YEARS OS upgrades.

    The last point can't be stated enough. You won't find suport like that from the chinese brands. Not even close.

    Brilliant phone. Had a S9 before and noticed no drop in performance or quality. 5G too so future proof. Buy buy buy.

    They are made in Vietnam and India. Samsung no longer makes phones in China, they make most in Vietnam and second most in India, iPhone is also increasingly production in India (edited)

    Mine didn't, just got some cheap glass protectors off eBay, plenty available for around £2 for a 2pack, fit ok as it's a flat screen plus thankfully didn't seem to make the fingerprint reader any worse.

    Great phone for the price. Kinda big, but vast majority are these days. Has headphone jack and microSD card too, for those of us who still care about the basics.

    Ignore the negative reviews
    I'm dubious about them tbh.

    This phone is great in every way except one.

    You will be happy with
    Screen, Battery and fast performance
    Camera is more than good enough and has 3.5mm audio socket

    Only odd thing is quite often but not always, even when just watching YouTube or have it connected to Bluetooth or sometimes even WhatsApp - so very routine things - not intensive, the phone gets very warm.
    I don't play games

    I have never had a phone get this hot.

    Top half of phone and screen gets hot lower half remains cool.
    I downloaded a temperature app
    and sometimes temp is around 35 to 37 degrees, which feels very warm. I then close down all background apps.

    I googled it and others report the same issue and they say unless temp warning comes on its fine.
    It still feels too warm for my liking.

    That's my only complaint

    I've had this phone since December and it's been great. Battery lasts all day, charges fast, the 5g performance is incredible. Oh and it makes phone calls. Only downside to me is the volume through Bluetooth headphones is pretty low compared to other phones I've had.
