Good deal for a new model but a miss IMO from moto, discounted pixel 7 looks like a much nicer buy to me

Subjective really as the pixel 7 range batteries are diabolical

This is a brand new phone, there are no reviews/unboxings out yet. If you have a YouTube channel this may be your chance to get some sweet views ( ) The CPU looks to be around as fast as SD 870.

    According to a review pocket-lint.com/mot…ew/
"The Motorola Edge 40 launches on Android 13 and is expected to have two OS updates and 3 years of security updates."

Personally I think the Oneplus Nord 2T at £350 is a better deal than this. Very similar specs and even faster charging.

Better value no doubt on the surface, but this is more premium with better specs in many areas - apart from the slower charging & perhaps couple of other aspects.
If one digs a little deeper, here are the pros for this over the Nord 2T...
+ SoC - probably better, but no proper benchmarks for the 8020 yet to compare vs the 1300
    + P-OLED, 144Hz, 1200 nits vs AMOLED, 90Hz, 800 nits
    + Main camera with f/1.4 vs f/1.9
+ Selfie camera with 4K video vs 1080p
+ 15W wireless charging vs none
    + IP68 dust/water resistant vs none
+ Android 13 out of the box vs Android 12
    + WiFi 6e & tri-band support vs 6 & dual-band

Considering the above, I feel £80 extra for this is very fair. Probably not worth the original price without the code. (edited)

Waiting for a review as I don't know the benchmarks for the Dimensity 8020 but hoping it's great

Good deal. I'll hang on for another bit.....I bought the edge 30 last year and within weeks they had reduced it by £100. I reckon the same will happen with this one.

Would have been interested in this if it had an SD slot, as the previous Motorola I had (way, way back) was excellent, But I don't think this has, sadly

Max price for any Motorola is £300 and that includes flagships they charge £600+ for.

Being a no support/cash grab company vote with your wallets and don't buy them.

No moto is worth more than £150.

The lack of OS updates mean the phones become end of life too fast.
