This set was released as part of LEGO's 90th Birthday celebrations, re-imagining a classic set the 1979 497 Galaxy Explorer set.

    Great set, but with only a £13 discount. Your better off buying at Lego. With vip 720 points just under a £5. The spooky add on pack. If you go through voucher codes also getting a £10 cine World voucher or 40529 amusement park

    Voucher codes is like roulette wheel sometimes they pay sometimes they don't. Double VIP points and some GWPs better value thou on this.

    Great set. Pretty sure I had it. Prob still have.......But it'll now be in a mixed tub of general lego parts!.....Why why why didnt I just keep them all seperate and in their original boxes

    I think I’ve still got all the pieces to make the original of this. Heat though as this was and still is a classic. I’m sure I’ve got some base plates too but not sure on instructions but I’ll have to check at some point.

    I had this set as a kid. Surely it wasn't this expensive back then... Or was I a very spoilt child?

    You have to remember the original version was smaller; this remake is a lot bigger. I know the original version was £15 as I saw it was in a second hand shop that sells Lego, new and old, and the price sticker was still on. £15 doesn't sound like much but remember, that price was from 1978 which was when the original set came out; adjusted for inflation, that's around £73 today.
