WARNING. I think if you check Samsung's terms and conditions you will find you can only claim ONE offer and not both. Here is what it says on their promotion offer.

Rewards cannot be claimed in conjunction with any other Samsung promotion.

In January this year I bought a S20FE with the same offer from the SAME company. Samsung told me I could claim only one offer and not BOTH.

My phone was also by Mobile Phones Direct so either someone is misinterpreting Samsung's offers, or it's being deliberately enhanced.

@MrSwitch - perhaps you want to check as the deal may not be as good as it sounds.

How does the trade in work? Do they send you £100?
    MrSwitch's avatar
    MrSwitch Author
    Step 1
Purchase a eligible new Samsung Galaxy device from one of the participating retailers between promotion period. When you have received your new device, visit the claim page via Promotions page.

    Step 2
Enter your new Samsung Galaxy IMEI or Serial to verify your purchase and select the device you want to trade-in. We'll send you a pre-paid return pack within 1-3 days of submitting your claim to return your old device.

    Step 3
Post your old device to us via the pre-paid packaging we provided. Once received, we'll check it over and pay you within 3 working days. Don't worry, we'll keep you updated via email every step of the way so you know what's going on.

Thanks for the share - do you know what the enhanced trade means? Is it for any phone or just a select few? I've gone via your link to it, but it's not clear so thought you may know 🏼 thanks again

I'd be worried about this too, it says at the bottom
"*Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited. Level of reward will vary based on model and condition of trade in. Not redeemable with any other offer from the promoter. See samsungtradeinoffer.co.uk for more detail."

Can anyone confirm that the trade-in offer can actually be used in conjunction with the free chromebook (or indeed the cashback from the 20 days of xmas deal, before the chromebooks)?

I rang Samsung and they told me one or the other. I think I have email confirmation as well but would need to check. Their promotions team are quite responsive.I took the Chromebook expecting to get a lot more than I did on eBay. £85 after fees. I should have taken the enhanced trade in which would have been £180 for my P20 pro.

I would say it's Mobile Phones Direct at fault here as Samsung's terms and conditions are extremely clear. (edited)

I'd be all over this if it wasn't for the similar deal I got on an S21 FE a couple of months ago including Buds and Disney+.

Claiming the enhanced cashback was a breeze - sent in a 10 year old android phone, had the money in my account in a week or so.

Whilst that is honourable of MFD, it doesn't detract from what is being offered for sale is possibly described incorrectly and still may attract interest under our mis-selling laws. MFD would have to state they would give you a free Chromebook or an additional £100 for your trade in dependant on which promotion was taken. The statement by MFD of getting something free from them could be for just a screen protector or whatever else they decide on. It doesn't say to equivalent value and is therefore just "lip service" so you go away happy. (edited)

Got this response from their customer care team around 6hrs ago regarding the trade-in + Chromebook offer with the T&C's on Samsung mentioning you basically can't redeem both, wonder if they've pulled this while they investigate?

"I am sorry that this information is confusing but I do want to clarify this for you. I have emailed our promotions team and will chase this up for you as well when I can contact my colleagues in that team. I have put your order in my diary to chase up and when I get a response I will give you a call." (edited)

As I suspected and said on the deal for the S21FE.

Perhaps Trading Standards would take the view of false advertising by the mobile companies involved which appears to be promoted further by this site.

@Admin_Team - you should perhaps investigate further with Samsung and if it's confirmed that only one promotion can be claimed then ALL deals regarding the recent Samsung promotions implying that more than one promotion can be claimed, should be deleted.

Yeah, you would have to port your current number out to a non three sim, and then port it back in, do this via the PAC route as it's a lot easier

Seriously wondering why the s22+ never pops up with a good deal. Bought the P7P for someone else recently, and now I'm looking to upgrade from an S10+ myself, but it feels like the only really attractive deals are for S22s and their ultra variation!!
